¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow, of beings in heaven and in the earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. ^{12 (1:6)} And so, my beloved, as you always obeyed, not in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling;

^{7 (6:5)} And when they shall finish their testimony, the beast which ascends from the abyss shall make war with them, and conquer them, and kill them.

⁹ And the great dragon, the old serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, and who deceives all the world, was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast [to the earth] with him.

⁸ The beast which you saw was and is not, and is about to come up from the abyss, and goes to destruction; and those who live on the earth, whose names are not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, will wonder, when they see the beast that he was and is not and is to come.

²⁰ And the beast was taken and with him the false prophet who performed miracles before him, with which he deceived those who received the mark of the beast and those who worship his image; and the two were cast alive into the lake of fire burning with sulphur.

^{1 (11:5)} And I saw an angel descending from heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. ² And he took the dragon, which is the old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, ³ and cast him into the abyss, and shut him up and put a seal over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were finished; after that he must be released a short time.
