1 (1:4) And you being dead in trespasses and sins,—
2 in which you formerly walked according to the life of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit which now operates in the children of disobedience,
3 among whom also we all formerly lived in the desires of our flesh, performing the wishes of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as others;
4 but God who is rich in mercy, on account of his great love with which he loved us,—
5 even when we were dead in sins he made us alive with Christ,—by grace are you saved,
6 and raised us up and seated us together with Christ Jesus in the heavenly worlds,
7 that he might show in the ages to come the transcendent riches of his grace in goodness to us by Jesus Christ.
8 For by grace are you saved through the faith; and that not of you; [it is] the gift of God;
9 not of works, that no one may boast;
10 for we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, in which God before appointed that we should walk.
11 (1:5) Wherefore, remember that you were formerly gentiles by birth, called uncircumcision by that called circumcision made in the flesh by the hand,
12 that at that time you were without Christ, alienated from the polity of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world;
13 but now, in Christ Jesus you who were formerly far off have been made nigh by the blood of Christ.
14 For he is our peace, who made both one and broke down the middle wall of partition,
15 the enmity, and abolished by his flesh the law of commandments [consisting] of ordinances, that of the two he might create in himself one new man, making peace,
16 and reconcile both in one body to God through the cross, having destroyed the enmity by it.
17 And he came and preached the good news of peace to you who were far off, and peace to those nigh,
18 for through him we both have access by one spirit to the Father.
19 Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow-citizens of the saints and of the family of God,
20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone,
21 by which all the building being fitted together grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 in which you also are built up together for a spiritual habitation of God.

12 all have turned aside, they have together become unprofitable; there is no one that does good, there is not even one;
13 their throat is an opened tomb, with their tongues they practise deceit, the poison of asps is under their lips.
14 Their mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.
15 Their feet are swift to shed blood,
16 destruction and misery are in their ways,
17 and the way of peace they have not known.
18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19 But we know that whatever the law says, it says to those having the law, that every mouth may be stopped and all the world become guilty before God.

Romans 5:12-19
12 (3:7) Therefore, as through one man sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so came upon all men because all sinned,—
13 for till the law there was sin in the world, but sin is not accounted where there is no law
14 but death reigned from Adam till Moses even over those that sinned not after the similitude Adam's transgression, who is a type of him that was to come;
15 but not as the fall so also is the gift; for if by the fall of one the many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by grace which is of the one man Jesus Christ, abounded to the many;
16 and not as through one that sinned is the gift; for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the gift was from many sins to a righteous ordinance;
17 for if by one fall death reigned through the one, much more those who receive the abundance of the grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ;—
18 therefore, as through the fall of one [judgment came] on all men to condemnation, so also through the righteous ordinance of one [the gift comes] on all men to justification of life;
19 for as through the disobedience of the one man the many were constituted sinners, so also through the obedience of the one shall the many be constituted righteous.
20 For the law supervened that the fall might abound; but where the sin abounded the grace was superabundant,
21 that as sin reigned in death, so the grace shall reign through righteousness in life eternal through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 6:4-5
4 We have been buried therefore with him through baptism in death, that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also should walk in newness of life.

7 For who made you to differ? And what have you that you did not receive? And if you received, why do you boast as one that receives not?
1 Corinthians 5:10
10 not altogether the fornicators of this world, or the covetous and rapacious, or idolaters, since then you would have to go out of the world.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11
9 Know you not that the unjust shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor the effeminate, nor sodomites,
10 nor thieves, nor covetous persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor the rapacious, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were some of you; but you are washed, you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:11-11
11 And such were some of you; but you are washed, you are sanctified, but you are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1 Corinthians 6:19
19 Know you not that your bodies are a temple of the Holy Spirit in you which you have from God, and you are not your own?
1 Corinthians 8:4-6
4 Concerning eating things offered to idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is no other God but one.
5 For even if there are those called Gods, whether in heaven or on earth, as there are many gods and many lords,
6 yet to us there is one God the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and we through him.
1 Corinthians 8:6
6 yet to us there is one God the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and we through him.
1 Corinthians 10:19-20
1 Corinthians 12:2
2 You know that when you were gentiles, you followed dumb idols as you were led.
1 Corinthians 12:12-13
1 Corinthians 12:13
13 for we have all been baptized with one Spirit in one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether servants or freemen, and have all been made to drink one Spirit.
1 Corinthians 12:28
28 And God has set some in the church, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, then powers, then gifts of performing cures, aids, governments, different tongues.
1 Corinthians 15:45
45 And thus it is written; The first man Adam became a living soul; the last Adam is a life-giving spirit.
2 Corinthians 4:4
4 in whom the god of this life has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the likeness of God, may not shine.
2 Corinthians 5:5
5 And he that has made us for this is God, who has given us the pledge of the Spirit.
2 Corinthians 5:14
14 For the love of Christ constrains us, judging this, that if one died for all then were all dead;
2 Corinthians 5:17
17 So that if any one is in Christ he is a new creation; old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.
18 And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and given us the ministry of the reconciliation,
19 to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself, not imputing to them their offenses, and has given to us the word of reconciliation.
20 We are embassadors therefore for Christ, as though God besought you by us; we pray you, for Christ, be reconciled to God.
2 Corinthians 5:20
2 Corinthians 6:16
16 and what agreement has a temple of God with idols? For you are a temple of the living God; as God said, I will dwell in them, and I will walk in them, and I will be to them a God and they shall be to me a people.
2 Corinthians 7:1
1 Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us purify ourselves from every defilement of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
2 Corinthians 9:8
8 And God is able to make every favor abound to you, that having always every sufficiency in every thing you may abound in every good work;
2 Corinthians 13:14
14 The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
Galatians 1:4
4 who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from the present evil life according to the will of God even our Father,
Galatians 2:9
9 and knowing the grace given me, James and Cephas and John, who were manifest pillars, gave to me and Barnabas the right hand of fellowship that we should go to the gentiles and they to the circumcision;
Galatians 2:15-16
15 For we Jews by race and not sinners of the gentiles,
Galatians 2:15
15 For we Jews by race and not sinners of the gentiles,
16 knowing that a man is not justified by works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ, we also have believed in Jesus Christ, that we may be justified by faith and not by works of the law, because by works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Galatians 2:20
20 I am crucified with Christ; and I no longer live myself, but Christ lives in me; and the present life which I live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Galatians 3:10
10 For as many as are of works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, Cursed is every one that continues not in all things written in the book of the law to do them.
Galatians 3:14
14 that the blessing of Abraham may come on the nations, in Christ Jesus, that we may receive the promise of the Spirit through the faith.
Galatians 3:16-17
16 The promises were spoken to Abraham and his offspring. He said not, And to offsprings, as of many, but as of one, And to your offspring, which is Christ.
17 And this I say; that the law which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot abrogate the covenant previously established by God, to make the promise of no effect.
Galatians 3:22
22 but the Scripture has shut up all under sin, that the promise of the faith of Jesus Christ may be given to them that believe.
Galatians 3:26-28
Galatians 3:28-28
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither servant nor freeman, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
Galatians 4:6
6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
Galatians 4:8-9
8 (2:6) But formerly, not knowing God you served beings which are not really Gods;
Galatians 4:8
Galatians 4:26-31
26 But the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us;
27 for it is written, Rejoice, barren woman, that did not bear, break forth and cry, woman that had no pain, for the children of the desolate are more numerous than those of her who had a husband.
28 But we, brothers, like Isaac, are children of the promise.
29 But as then he that was born of the flesh persecuted him that was born of the Spirit, so also now.
30 But what says the Scripture? Cast out the servant-woman and her son; for the son of the servant woman shall not be an heir, with the son of the free.
31 Wherefore, brothers, we are not children of the servant woman, but of the free.
Galatians 5:16-24
16 (3:3) And I say, walk in the Spirit and perform not the desire of the flesh.
17 For the flesh desires against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are opposed one to another, so that you do not what you wish.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 For the works of the flesh are manifest, which are, fornication, impurity, lewdness,
20 idolatry, magic, enmities, strife, envy, anger, contentions, dissensions, heresies,
21 murders, drunkenness, revellings and the like, of which I tell you before, as I have also previously told you, that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,
23 meekness, temperance; against such there is no law.
24 And the [subjects] of Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its affections and desires.
Galatians 6:10
10 As we have opportunity, therefore, let us do good to all, but especially to the members of the family of the faith.
Galatians 6:12
12 Those who wish to make a fair appearance in the flesh compel you to be circumcised, only that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ.
Galatians 6:15
15 For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.
Ephesians 1:3

7 in whom we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace,
Ephesians 1:19-20
19 and what the exceeding greatness of his power towards us who believe, according to the operation of his mighty power,
Ephesians 1:19
Ephesians 2:1
1 (1:4) And you being dead in trespasses and sins,—
2 in which you formerly walked according to the life of this world, according to the ruler of the power of the air, the spirit which now operates in the children of disobedience,
3 among whom also we all formerly lived in the desires of our flesh, performing the wishes of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath even as others;
4 but God who is rich in mercy, on account of his great love with which he loved us,—
5 even when we were dead in sins he made us alive with Christ,—by grace are you saved,
Ephesians 2:5
5 even when we were dead in sins he made us alive with Christ,—by grace are you saved,
6 and raised us up and seated us together with Christ Jesus in the heavenly worlds,
7 that he might show in the ages to come the transcendent riches of his grace in goodness to us by Jesus Christ.
8 For by grace are you saved through the faith; and that not of you; [it is] the gift of God;
Ephesians 2:10
10 for we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, in which God before appointed that we should walk.
Ephesians 2:12
12 that at that time you were without Christ, alienated from the polity of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world;
13 but now, in Christ Jesus you who were formerly far off have been made nigh by the blood of Christ.
17 And he came and preached the good news of peace to you who were far off, and peace to those nigh,
Ephesians 2:19-22
19 Therefore you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow-citizens of the saints and of the family of God,
20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner-stone,
21 by which all the building being fitted together grows into a holy temple in the Lord,
22 in which you also are built up together for a spiritual habitation of God.

6 that the gentiles are co-heirs and of the same body and joint partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel,
7 of which I was made a minister by the gracious gift of God, given to me by the operation of his power.
8 To me, who am the least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the nations the unsearchable riches of Christ,

17 that Christ may dwell in your hearts through the faith, you being founded and established in love,

21 to him be the glory in the church in Jesus Christ to all generations, for ever and ever; amen.
Ephesians 4:1
1 (2:1) I THEREFORE, the prisoner of the Lord, exhort you to walk worthily of the call with which you were called,
Ephesians 4:4
4 There is one body, and one spirit, as you also are called in one hope of your call;
Ephesians 4:11-13
11 And he gave some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers,
12 for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edification of the body of Christ,
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
Ephesians 4:13-16
13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
14 that we may be no longer children, driven about like waves and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the art of men, and the craftiness of deceitful wiles,
15 but speaking the truth with love we may grow to him in all things, who is the head, Christ;
16 by whom all the body being joined together and compacted by the supply of every joint, according to the proportionate operation of every part, makes increase of the body to the edification of itself in love.
Ephesians 4:16-16
16 by whom all the body being joined together and compacted by the supply of every joint, according to the proportionate operation of every part, makes increase of the body to the edification of itself in love.
17 (2:3) This I say then and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the other gentiles walk, in the vanity of their minds,
18 with their understandings darkened, alienated from the life of God on account of the ignorance which is in them, on account of the hardness of their hearts,
Ephesians 4:18-19

Ephesians 6:12
12 for our conflict is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the potentates of the darkness of this world, against the spiritual [hosts] of evil in the heavenly [worlds].

1 Timothy 5:25
25 in like manner also good works are manifest, and those which are otherwise cannot be hid.
1 Timothy 6:9
9 But those who wish to be rich fall into trial and a snare, and many foolish and injurious desires, which plunge men into destruction and perdition.

1 Admonish them to be subject to principalities, to powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready for every good work,

3 For we formerly were foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various desires and pleasures, living in malice and envy, detestable, and hating one another;

4 but when the goodness and philanthropy of the Saviour our God appeared,

5 not by works of righteousness which we did but according to his mercy he saved us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
Titus 3:5-5
5 not by works of righteousness which we did but according to his mercy he saved us through the washing of regeneration and the renewing of the Holy Spirit,
6 which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;
7 that having been justified by his grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
8 The word is true, and I wish you to insist strongly concerning these things, that those who have believed in God may be careful to maintain good works. For these things are honorable and useful to men.
Titus 3:14
14 and let ours also learn to maintain good works for necessary purposes, that they may not be unfruitful.

23 (3:7) It was necessary, therefore, that the symbols of things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Hebrews 10:1-10
1 (3:8) For the law having a shadow of the good things that were to come, not the very likeness of the things, could not by the sacrifices which they offered continually every year perfect the offerers;
2 if they could, would they not have ceased to be offered, because those serving would have had no longer a knowledge of sins, having been once purified?
3 But in them there was a remembrance of sins, year by year;
4 for it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
5 Wherefore, coming into the world, he says, A sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire, but a body didst thou prepare me.
6 Whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou wast not pleased with;
7 then I said, Behold, I come,—in the volume of the book it is written of me,—to do thy will, O God.
8 Saying before, Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and [sacrifices] for sin thou didst not desire and wast not pleased with, which are offered according to the law,
9 then he said, Behold, I come to do thy will. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,
10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all.

9 With it bless we the Lord and Father, and with it curse we men made in the likeness of God.
James 4:1-3
1 (2:3) Whence come wars and contentions among you? Come they not thence, from your pleasures that war in your members?
2 You desire and have not; you kill, and envy, and cannot obtain; you fight and carry on war. You have not, because you do not ask;
3 you ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss, to expend on your pleasures.
4 Adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whoever therefore wishes to be a friend of the world, is made an enemy of God.

3 (1:2) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy has begotten us to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

1 Peter 1:17
17 And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to each one's work, spend the time of your life with fear,
18 knowing that you were not redeemed from your vain mode of life received by tradition from your fathers, with destructible things, silver or gold,
19 but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish, and without a spot;

10 who formerly were not a people, but now are a people of God, who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
11 (2:1) BELOVED, I exhort you as strangers and foreigners, abstain from carnal desires, which war against the soul,
12 having your conduct honorable among the gentiles, that wherein they speak against you as evil-doers, from the good works which they see they may glorify God in the day of visitation,

15 and sanctify the anointed Lord in your hearts, and be always ready with a defense to every one that asks you a reason for the hope that is in you; but with meekness and fear,

7 but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
8 If we say we have not sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all wickedness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

10 In this is love; not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son a propitiation for our sins.
11 (2:4) Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
12 No one has ever seen God. If we love one another, God continues in us and his love is perfected in us.
13 By this we know that we continue in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit.
1 John 4:13
13 By this we know that we continue in him and he in us, that he has given us of his Spirit.

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear; for fear has pain; and he that is afraid is not made perfect in love.
19 We love, because he first loved us.

11 And I saw, and heard a voice of many angels about the throne, and of the cherubs, and of the elders,—and the number of them was ten thousands of ten thousands and thousands of thousands,—
12 saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was killed to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.
13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and those which are on the sea, and all things in them, all heard I saying, To him that sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and power forever and ever.

16 And the city was square, and its length equal to its breadth. And he measured the city with the rod, twelve thousand stadia [1372 English miles]; and the length and breadth and height of it are equal.
17 And he measured its wall, a hundred and forty-four cubits, the measure of a man, which was of the angel.
18 And the building of its wall was jasper, and the city was of pure gold like clear glass.
19 And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every precious stone; the first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,

22 And I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God Almighty is its temple, and the Lamb.
23 And the city has no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to give a light to it; for the glory of God lights it, and its light the Lamb.
24 And the nations shall walk in its light, and the kings of the earth bring their glory to it,
25 and its gates shall not be shut by day,—for there shall be no night there,—
26 and they shall bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
