³⁴ All these things, spake Jesus in parables, unto the multitudes, and, without a parable, was he speaking, nothing, unto them:

¹³ For this reason, in parables, unto them, do I speak,––because, seeing, they see not, and, hearing, they hear not,––neither do they understand.

³³ And, with many such parables as these, was he speaking unto them the word,––according as they were able to hear; ³⁴ but, without a parable, was he not speaking unto them,––privately, however, unto his own disciples, was he explaining all things.

²⁵ These things, in similitudes, have I spoken unto you: There cometh an hour, when, no longer in similitudes, will I speak unto you, but, openly, concerning the Father, will I tell you.
