¹⁷ And it came to pass, when had returned unto Jerusalem, and was praying in the temple, that I came to be in a trance,

²⁶ And, when he had arrived in Jerusalem, he made attempts to join himself unto the disciples; and all were afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple. ²⁷ But, Barnabas, taking him, brought him unto the apostles, and related unto them,––how, in the way, he had seen the Lord, and that he had spoken unto him; and how, in Damascus, he had spoken boldly in the name of Jesus. ²⁸ And he was with them, coming in and going out in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord;

⁹ Now, on the morrow, as those men were journeying, and, unto the city, drawing near, Peter went up on the housetop to pray, about the sixth hour; ¹⁰ But he became hungry, and wished to eat,––and, while they were making ready, there came upon him a trance;

²⁰ But––both to them in Damascus, first, and in Jerusalem, unto all the country of Judaea also, and unto the nations, I carried tidings––that they should repent, and turn unto God, and, works worthy of their repentance, should practise.

¹ To be boasting, is needful,––it is not, indeed, profitable, yet will I come to visions and revelations of [the] Lord:–– ² I know a man in Christ, who, fourteen years ago, whether in the body, I know not, or out of the body, I know not, God, knoweth, such a one as this, caught away, as far as the third heaven; ³ And I know such a man as this, whether in the body or apart from the body, [I know not], ––God, knoweth, ⁴ How that he was caught away into paradise, and heard unspeakable things, which it is not allowable for a man to utter:
