²³ and settled in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, "He will be called a Nazarene."

²² All this happened in fulfillment of what the Lord had spoken through the prophet:

⁷¹ When he had gone out into the gateway, another maid saw him and said to those who were there, "This man was with Jesus the Nazarene."

¹⁹ Pilate wrote a sign and put it up on the cross. It was written: JESUS THE NAZARENE THE KING OF THE JEWS

²² Fellow Israelites, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene was a man proved to be sent to you from God by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through him in the midst of you, as you yourselves know.

⁵ We have found this man a pest and an inciter of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a leader of the sect of the Nazarenes.
