¹⁰ Jesus said to him, "He who has bathed has no need to be washed, except his feet, but is all clean. And you are clean, though not all."

¹² And forgive us our failures As we forgive those who fail toward us;

³ You are already clean through the word that I have spoken to you.

²⁰ TEXT OMITTED ²¹ I find then this rule, when I choose to do the right, that evil is present with me. ²² I delight in the Law in my inner man, ²³ but I see another law in my members, warring with the law of my mind and leading me captive under the law of sin which is in my members.

¹⁷ So if any one is in Christ he is a new creature. The old things have passed away, they have become new.

²¹ Him who knew no sin God made sin for our sake that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

¹ HAVING then these promises, beloved, let us purify ourselves from every defilement of flesh or spirit, in reverence for God making our holiness complete.

²² that you should put away the old man who belonged to your former way of life and was perishing in deluding passions, ²³ and that you should be made new in the spirit of your minds ²⁴ and put on the new man formed as God approves in the righteousness and holiness of truth.

²⁶ that he might make it holy, cleansing it by the washing with water according to his word, ²⁷ that he might present to himself the church glorious, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but holy and faultless.

²³ May the God of peace himself make you completely holy, and may your spirits and souls and bodies be kept faultless and blameless for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
