⁷ but into the second part the High Priest alone goes once in the year, not without blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins ignorantly committed by the people.

² He is able to sympathize with the ignorant and the erring, since he himself is beset with weaknesses. ³ For this reason he must bring an offering for his own sins, just as he does for those of the people.

²⁷ He has not the daily need, like the other priests, first to offer sacrifices for his own sins and then for those of the people. This latter he did once for all when he offered himself.

²⁴ For Christ did not enter into a holy place made by hands, a copy of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear before the face of God in our behalf. ²⁵ Nor was it to offer himself often, as the High Priest enters into the holy place every year with blood not his own;

³ But in the sacrifices these are called to mind every year.

¹⁹ Since we have, then, brethren, confidence in entering the holy place through the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by the new and living way which he has made for us through the curtain, that is, his flesh,
