³⁰ 'And if the herb of the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow is cast to the furnace, God does so clothe -- not much more you, O you of little faith?

²⁷ and the men wondered, saying, 'What kind -- is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?'

³⁰ but seeing the wind vehement, he was afraid, and having begun to sink, he cried out, saying, 'Sir, save me.' ³¹ And immediately Jesus, having stretched forth the hand, laid hold of him, and said to him, 'Little faith! For what did you waver?'

⁸ And Jesus having known, said to them, 'Why reason you in yourselves, you of little faith, because you took no loaves?

³⁹ And having waked up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace, be stilled;' and the wind did lull, and there was a great calm: ⁴⁰ and he said to them, 'Why are you so fearful? how have you not faith?' ⁴¹ and they feared a great fear, and said one to another, 'Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?'

⁴⁸ and he saw them harassed in the rowing, for the wind was against them, and about the fourth watch of the night he does come to them walking on the sea, and wished to pass by them. ⁴⁹ And they having seen him walking on the sea, thought it to be an apparition, and cried out, ⁵⁰ for they all saw him, and were troubled, and immediately he spake with them, and said to them, 'Take courage, I am he, be not afraid.' ⁵¹ And he went up unto them to the boat, and the wind lulled, and greatly out of measure were they amazed in themselves, and were wondering,

²⁴ And having come near, they awoke him, saying, 'Master, master, we perish;' and he, having arisen, rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there came a calm, ²⁵ and he said to them, 'Where is your faith?' and they being afraid did wonder, saying unto one another, 'Who, then, is this, that even the winds he does command, and the water, and they obey him?'
