⁶⁵ Then the chief priest rent his garments, saying, -- 'He has spoken evil; what need have we yet of witnesses? Lo, now you heard his evil speaking;

³ And lo, certain of the scribes said within themselves, 'This one does speak evil.'

⁶³ And the chief priest, having rent his garments, said, 'What need have we yet of witnesses? ⁶⁴ You heard the evil speaking, what appears to you?' and they all condemned him to be worthy of death,
