⁴² saying, 'What do you think concerning the Christ? Of whom is he son?' They say to him, 'Of David.'

⁹ wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that is above every name, ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow -- of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth -- ¹¹ and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

⁷ But what things were to me gains, these I have counted, because of the Christ, loss; ⁸ yes, indeed, and I count all things to be loss, because of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, because of whom of the all things I suffered loss, and do count them to be refuse, that Christ I may gain, and be found in him, ⁹ not having my righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through faith of Christ -- the righteousness that is of God by the faith, ¹⁰ to know him, and the power of his rising again, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being conformed to his death, ¹¹ where there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, servant, freeman -- but the all and in all -- Christ.

⁴ to whom coming -- a living stone -- by men, indeed, having been disapproved of, but with God choice, precious, ⁵ and you yourselves, as living stones, are built up, a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. ⁶ Therefore, also, it is contained in the Writing: 'Lo, I lay in Zion a chief corner-stone, choice, precious, and he who is believing on him may not be put to shame;' ⁷ to you, then, who are believing is the preciousness; and to the unbelieving, a stone that the builders disapproved of, this one did become for the head of a corner,

¹² saying with a great voice, 'Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing!' ¹³ and every creature that is in the heaven, and in the earth, and under the earth, and the things that are upon the sea, and the all things in them, heard I saying, 'To Him who is sitting upon the throne, and to the Lamb, is the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the might -- to the ages of the ages!' ¹⁴ and the four living creatures said, 'Amen!' and the twenty-four elders fell down and they bow before Him who is living to the ages of the ages.
