³⁵ And Jesus answering said, teaching in the temple, 'How say the scribes that the Christ is son of David?

²⁷ And Jesus passing on from there, two blind men followed him, calling and saying, 'Deal kindly with us, Son of David.'

⁴¹ And the Pharisees having been gathered together, Jesus did question them, ⁴² saying, 'What do you think concerning the Christ? Of whom is he son?' They say to him, 'Of David.' ⁴³ He said to them, 'How then does David in the Spirit call him lord, saying, ⁴⁴ The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, till I may make your enemies your footstool? ⁴⁵ If then David does call him lord, how is he his son?'

⁴² Did not the Writing say, that out of the seed of David, and from Bethlehem -- the village where David was -- the Christ does come?'

²⁰ Jesus answered him, 'I spake freely to the world, I did always teach in a synagogue, and in the temple, where the Jews do always come together; and in secret I spake nothing;
