³⁶ and amazement came upon all, and they were speaking together, with one another, saying, 'What is this word, that with authority and power he does command the unclean spirits, and they come forth?'

³³ and the demon having been cast out, the dumb spoke, and the multitude did wonder, saying that 'It was never so seen in Israel:'

²² Then was brought to him a demoniac, blind and dumb, and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb both spoke and saw. ²³ And all the multitudes were amazed, and said, 'Is this the Son of David?'

²⁷ and they were all amazed, so as to reason among themselves, saying, 'What is this? what new teaching is this? that with authority also the unclean spirits he commands, and they obey him!'

³⁷ and they were being beyond measure astonished, saying, 'Well has he done all things; both the deaf he does make to hear, and the dumb to speak.'

¹⁷ 'And signs shall accompany those believing these things; in my name demons they shall cast out; with new tongues they shall speak; ¹⁸ serpents they shall take up; and if any deadly thing they may drink, it shall not hurt them; on the ailing they shall lay hands, and they shall be well.' ¹⁹ The Lord, then, indeed, after speaking to them, was received up to the heaven, and sat on the right hand of God; ²⁰ and they, having gone forth, did preach everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word, through the signs following. Amen.

³² and they were astonished at his teaching, because his word was with authority.

¹⁷ And the seventy turned back with joy, saying, 'Sir, and the demons are being subjected to us in your name;' ¹⁸ and he said to them, 'I was beholding the Adversary, as lightning from the heaven having fallen; ¹⁹ lo, I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you; ²⁰ but, in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subjected to you, but rejoice rather that your names were written in the heavens.'

¹² so that even unto the ailing were brought from his body handkerchiefs or aprons, and the sicknesses departed from them; the evil spirits also went forth from them. ¹³ And certain of the wandering exorcist Jews, took upon them to name over those having the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, 'We adjure you by Jesus, whom Paul does preach;' ¹⁴ and there were certain -- seven sons of Sceva, a Jew, a chief priest -- who are doing this thing; ¹⁵ and the evil spirit, answering, said, 'Jesus I know, and Paul I am acquainted with; and you -- who are you?' ¹⁶ And the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaping upon them, and having overcome them, prevailed against them, so that naked and wounded they did flee out of that house,

²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone on to heaven -- messengers, and authorities, and powers, having been subjected to him.
