³² And they said one to another, 'Was not our heart burning within us, as he was speaking to us in the way, and as he was opening up to us the Writings?'

⁴⁵ Then opened he up their understanding to understand the Writings,

⁶³ the spirit it is that is giving life; the flesh does not profit anything; the sayings that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life;

² and according to the custom of Paul, he went in unto them, and for three sabbaths he was reasoning with them from the Writings, ³ opening and alleging, 'That the Christ it behoved to suffer, and to rise again out of the dead, and that this is the Christ -- Jesus whom I proclaim to you.'
