¹ In many parts, and many ways, God of old having spoken to the fathers in the prophets, ² in these last days did speak to us in a Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He did make the ages; ³ who being the brightness of the glory, and the impress of His subsistence, bearing up also the all things by the saying of his might -- through himself having made a cleansing of our sins, sat down at the right hand of the greatness in the highest, ⁴ having become so much better than the messengers, as he did inherit a more excellent name than they. ⁵ For to which of the messengers said He ever, 'My Son you are -- I to-day have begotten you?' and again, 'I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?' ⁶ and when again He may bring in the first-born to the world, He says, 'And let them bow before him -- all messengers of God;' ⁷ and unto the messengers, indeed, He says, 'Who is making His messengers spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire;' ⁸ and unto the Son: 'Your throne, O God, is to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your reign; ⁹ you did love righteousness, and did hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint you -- God, your God -- with oil of gladness above your partners;' ¹⁰ and, 'You, at the beginning, Lord, the earth did found, and a work of your hands are the heavens; ¹¹ these shall perish, and You do remain, and all, as a garment, shall become old, ¹² and as a mantle You shall roll them together, and they shall be changed, and You are the same, and Your years shall not fail.' ¹³ And unto which of the messengers said He ever, 'Sit at My right hand, till I may make your enemies your footstool?' ¹⁴ are they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?

⁵⁵ As He spake unto our fathers, To Abraham and to his seed -- to the age.'

⁷² To do kindness with our fathers, And to be mindful of His holy covenant,

²⁷ and having begun from Moses, and from all the prophets, he was expounding to them in all the Writings the things about himself.

⁴⁴ and he said to them, 'These are the words that I spake unto you, being yet with you, that it is necessary for to be fulfilled all the things that are written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, about me.'

²² because of this, Moses has given you the circumcision -- not that it is of Moses, but of the fathers -- and on a sabbath you circumcise a man;

²⁹ we have known that God has spoken to Moses, but this one -- we have not known whence he is.'

³⁰ a prophet, therefore, being, and knowing that with an oath God did swear to him, out of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Christ, to sit upon his throne,

³² 'And we to you do proclaim good news -- that the promise made unto the fathers,

²³ and having appointed him a day, they came, more of them unto him, to the lodging, to whom he was expounding, testifying fully the reign of God, persuading them also of the things concerning Jesus, both from the law of Moses, and the prophets, from morning till evening,

² for if the word being spoken through messengers did become stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience did receive a just recompense,

¹⁰ concerning which salvation seek out and search out did prophets who concerning the grace toward you did prophecy, ¹¹ searching in regard to what or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ that was in them was manifesting, testifying beforehand the sufferings of Christ and the glory after these, ¹² to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who did proclaim good news to you,) in the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, to which things messengers do desire to bend looking.

²⁰ this first knowing, that no prophecy of the Writing does come of private exposition, ²¹ for not by will of man did ever prophecy come, but by the Holy Spirit borne on holy men of God spake.

¹⁷ and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, 'This is My Son -- the Beloved, in whom I did delight.'

⁵ While he is yet speaking, lo, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and lo, a voice out of the cloud, saying, 'This is My Son, -- the Beloved, in whom I did delight; hear him.'

³⁸ and the husbandmen having seen the son, said among themselves, This is the heir, come, we may kill him, and may possess his inheritance;

⁶³ And Jesus was silent. And the chief priest answering said to him, 'I adjure you, by the living God, that you may say to us, if you are the Christ -- the Son of God.'

¹⁸ And having come near, Jesus spoke to them, saying, 'Given to me was all authority in heaven and on earth;

¹ A beginning of the good news of Jesus Christ, Son of God.

⁶ 'Having yet therefore one son -- his beloved -- he sent also him unto them last, saying -- They will reverence my son;

³ all things through him did happen, and without him happened not even one thing that has happened.

¹⁴ And the Word became flesh, and did tabernacle among us, and we beheld his glory, glory as of an only begotten of a father, full of grace and truth.

¹⁷ for the law through Moses was given, the grace and the truth through Jesus Christ did come; ¹⁸ God no one has ever seen; the only begotten Son, who is on the bosom of the Father -- he did declare.

¹⁶ for God did so love the world, that His Son -- the only begotten -- He gave, that every one who is believing in him may not perish, but may have life age-during.

²⁵ there arose then a question from the disciples of John with some Jews about purifying,

³ Jesus knowing that all things the Father has given to him -- into his hands, and that from God he came forth, and unto God he goes,

¹⁵ no more do I call you servants, because the servant has not known what his lord does, and you I have called friends, because all things that I heard from my Father, I did make known to you.

¹⁵ 'All things, as many as the Father has, are mine; because of this I said, That of mine He will take, and will tell to you;

² according as You did give to him authority over all flesh, that -- all that You have given to him -- he may give to them life age-during;

¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days, said God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;

³⁶ the word that he sent to the sons of Israel, proclaiming good news -- peace through Jesus Christ (this one is Lord of all,)

⁴ who is marked out Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of sanctification, by the rising again from the dead,) Jesus Christ our Lord;

¹⁷ and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ -- if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.

⁶ yet to us is one God, the Father, of whom are the all things, and we to Him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are the all things, and we through Him;

²⁵ for it behooves him to reign till he may have put all the enemies under his feet -- ²⁶ the last enemy is done away -- death; ²⁷ for all things He did put under his feet, and, when one may say that all things have been subjected, it is evident that He is excepted who did subject the all things to him,

⁴ and when the fulness of time did come, God sent forth His Son, come of a woman, come under law,

¹⁰ in regard to the dispensation\'7badministration\'7d of the fulness of the times, to bring into one the whole in the Christ, both\'7bMT omits "both"\'7d the things in the heavens, and the things upon the earth -- in him;

²⁰ which He wrought\'7bworked, effected\'7d in the Christ, having raised him out of the dead, and did set him at His right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality, and authority, and might, and lordship, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one; ²² and all things He did put under his feet, and did give him -- head over all things to the assembly, ²³ which is his body, the fulness of Him who is filling the all in all,

⁹ and to cause all to see what is the fellowship\'7bMT reads "administration"\'7d of the secret that has been hid from the ages in God, who the all things did create by Jesus Christ,

⁹ wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that is above every name, ¹⁰ that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow -- of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth -- ¹¹ and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

¹⁶ because in him were the all things created, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all thing s through him, and for him, have been created, ¹⁷ and himself is before all, and the all things in him have consisted. ¹⁸ And himself is the head of the body -- the assembly -- who is a beginning, a first-born out of the dead, that he might become in all things -- himself -- first,

⁵ For to which of the messengers said He ever, 'My Son you are -- I to-day have begotten you?' and again, 'I will be to him for a father, and he shall be to Me for a son?'

⁸ and unto the Son: 'Your throne, O God, is to the age of the age; a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your reign;

³ how shall we escape, having neglected so great salvation? which a beginning receiving -- to be spoken through the Lord -- by those having heard was confirmed to us,

⁸ all things You did put in subjection under his feet,' for in the subjecting to him the all things, nothing did He leave to him unsubjected, and now not yet do we see the all things subjected to him, ⁹ and him who was made some little less than messengers we see -- Jesus -- because of the suffering of the death, with glory and honour having been crowned, that by the grace of God for every one he might taste of death.

⁸ through being a Son, did learn by the things which he suffered -- the obedience,

³ without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, and being made like to the Son of God, does remain a priest continually.

²⁶ since it had behoved him many times to suffer from the foundation of the world, but now once, at the full end of the ages, for putting away of sin through his sacrifice, he has been manifested;

³ by faith we understand the ages to have been prepared by a saying of God, in regard to the things seen not having come out of things appearing;

²⁰ foreknown, indeed, before the foundation of the world, and manifested in the last times because of you,

³ this first knowing, that there shall come in the latter end of the days scoffers, according to their own desires going on,

¹⁸ that they said to you, that in the last time there shall be scoffers, after their own desires of impieties going on,

²⁴ 'Teacher, Moses said, If any one may die not having children, his brother shall marry his wife, and shall raise up seed to his brother.

¹⁹ The Lord, then, indeed, after speaking to them, was received up to the heaven, and sat on the right hand of God;

⁴² and David himself said in the Book of Psalms, The Lord said to my lord, Sit you on my right hand, ⁴³ till I shall make your enemies your footstool;

⁴ In him was life, and the life was the light of men,

²⁹ on the morrow John sees Jesus coming unto him, and said, 'Lo, the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world;

⁹ Jesus said to him, 'So long time am I with you, and you have not known me, Philip? he who has seen me has seen the Father; and how do you say, Show to us the Father? ¹⁰ Believe you not that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? the sayings that I speak to you, from myself I speak not, and the Father who is abiding in me, Himself does the works;

³³ at the right hand then of God having been exalted -- also the promise of the Holy Spirit having received from the Father -- he was shedding forth this, which now you see and hear;

⁵⁶ and he said, 'Lo, I see the heavens having been opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God.'

¹⁶ for I am not ashamed of the good news of the Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation to every one who is believing, both to Jew first, and to Greek.

³⁴ who is he that is condemning? Christ is He that died, yea, rather also, was raised up; who is also on the right hand of God -- who also does intercede for us.

⁴ in whom the god of this age did blind the minds of the unbelieving, that there does not shine forth to them the enlightening of the good news of the glory of the Christ, who is the image of God;

⁶ because it is God who said, Out of darkness light is to shine, who did shine in our hearts, for the enlightening of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ⁷ And we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us;

²⁰ which He wrought\'7bworked, effected\'7d in the Christ, having raised him out of the dead, and did set him at His right hand in the heavenly places, ²¹ far above all principality, and authority, and might, and lordship, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one; ²² and all things He did put under his feet, and did give him -- head over all things to the assembly,

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, first-born of all creation, ¹⁶ because in him were the all things created, those in the heavens, and those upon the earth, those visible, and those invisible, whether thrones, whether lordships, whether principalities, whether authorities; all thing s through him, and for him, have been created, ¹⁷ and himself is before all, and the all things in him have consisted.

¹ If, then, you were raised with the Christ, the things above seek you, where the Christ is, on the right hand of God seated,

¹⁴ Having, then, a great chief priest passed through the heavens -- Jesus the Son of God -- may we hold fast the profession,

²⁷ who has no necessity daily, as the chief priests, first for his own sins to offer up sacrifice, then for those of the people; for this he did once, having offered up himself;

¹ And the sum concerning the things spoken of is: we have such a chief priest, who did sit down at the right hand of the throne of the greatness in the heavens,

¹² neither through blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, did enter in once into the holy places, age-during redemption having obtained; ¹³ for if the blood of bulls, and goats, and ashes of an heifer, sprinkling those defiled, does sanctify to the purifying of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much more shall the blood of the Christ (who through the age-during Spirit did offer himself unblemished to God) purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

¹⁶ for where a covenant is, the death of the covenant-victim to come in is necessary,

¹² And He, for sin one sacrifice having offered -- to the end, did sit down on the right hand of God, --

² looking to the author and perfecter of faith -- Jesus, who, over-against the joy set before him -- did endure a cross, shame having despised, on the right hand also of the throne of God did sit down;

²¹ who through him do believe in God, who did raise out of the dead, and glory to him did give, so that your faith and hope may be in God.

²² who is at the right hand of God, having gone on to heaven -- messengers, and authorities, and powers, having been subjected to him.

¹⁶ For, skilfully devised fables not having followed out, we did make known to you the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ, but eye-witnesses having become of his majesty --

⁷ and if in the light we may walk, as He is in the light -- we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son does cleanse us from every sin;

⁵ and you have known that he was manifested that our sins he may take away, and sin is not in him;

²⁵ to the only wise God our Saviour, is glory and greatness, power and authority, both now and to all the ages! Amen.

²¹ He who is overcoming -- I will give to him to sit with me in my throne, as I also did overcome and did sit down with my Father in His throne.

¹¹ 'Worthy are You, O Lord, to receive the glory, and the honour, and the power, because You -- You did create the all things, and because of Your will are they, and they were created.'

²¹ far above all principality, and authority, and might, and lordship, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in the coming one;

¹⁸ And himself is the head of the body -- the assembly -- who is a beginning, a first-born out of the dead, that he might become in all things -- himself -- first,

¹⁰ and you are in him made full, who is the head of all principality and authority,

⁷ and to you who are troubled -- rest with us in the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with messengers of his power,

⁹ you did love righteousness, and did hate lawlessness; because of this did He anoint you -- God, your God -- with oil of gladness above your partners;'

⁹ and him who was made some little less than messengers we see -- Jesus -- because of the suffering of the death, with glory and honour having been crowned, that by the grace of God for every one he might taste of death.

¹¹ And I saw, and I heard the voice of many messengers round the throne, and the living creatures, and the elders -- and the number of them was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands -- ¹² saying with a great voice, 'Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive the power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing!'

³³ God has in full completed this to us their children, having raised up Jesus, as also in the second Psalm it has been written, My Son you are -- I to-day have begotten you.

⁵ so also the Christ did not glorify himself to become chief priest, but He who spake unto him: 'My Son you are, I to-day have begotten you;'

⁹ and lo, a messenger of the Lord stood over them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they feared a great fear. ¹⁰ And the messenger said to them, 'Fear not, for lo, I bring you good news of great joy, that shall be to all the people -- ¹¹ because there was born to you to-day a Saviour -- who is Christ the Lord -- in the city of David, ¹² and this is to you the sign: You shall find a babe wrapped up, lying in the manger.' ¹³ And suddenly there came with the messenger a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying, ¹⁴ 'Glory in the highest to God, and upon earth peace, among men -- good will.'

¹⁸ God no one has ever seen; the only begotten Son, who is on the bosom of the Father -- he did declare.

²⁹ because whom He did foreknow, He also did fore-appoint, conformed to the image of His Son, that he might be first-born among many brethren;

¹⁵ who is the image of the invisible God, first-born of all creation,

⁵ Therefore, coming into the world, he said, 'Sacrifice and offering You did not will, and a body You did prepare for me,

⁹ In this was manifested the love of God in us, because His Son -- the only begotten -- has God sent to the world, that we may live through him;

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first-born out of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth; to him who did love us, and did bathe us from our sins in his blood,

⁹ and they sing a new song, saying, 'Worthy are you to take the scroll, and to open the seals of it, because you were slain, and did redeem us to God in your blood, out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation, ¹⁰ and did make us to our God kings and priests, and we shall reign upon the earth.'

¹⁴ are they not all spirits of service -- for ministration being sent forth because of those about to inherit salvation?

²³ 'Lo, the virgin shall conceive, and she shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,' which is, being interpreted 'With us he is God.'

¹⁶ and many of the sons of Israel he shall turn to the Lord their God, ¹⁷ and he shall go before Him, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn hearts of fathers unto children, and disobedient ones to the wisdom of righteous ones, to make ready for the Lord, a people prepared.'

³⁰ I and the Father are one.'

³³ The Jews answered him, saying, 'For a good work we do not stone you, but for evil speaking, and because you, being a man, do make yourself God.'

²⁸ And Thomas answered and said to him, 'My Lord and my God;'

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom is the Christ, according to the flesh, who is over all, God blessed to the ages. Amen.

²⁵ for it behooves him to reign till he may have put all the enemies under his feet --

¹⁶ and, confessedly, great is the secret of piety -- God was manifested in flesh, declared righteous in spirit, seen by messengers, preached among nations, believed on in the world, taken up in glory!

¹³ waiting for the blessed hope and manifestation of the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ, ¹⁴ who did give himself for us, that he might ransom us from all lawlessness, and might purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works;

³ for of more glory than Moses has this one been counted worthy, inasmuch as more honour than the house has he who does build it, ⁴ for every house is builded by some one, and He who the all things did build is God,

¹¹ for so, richly shall be superadded to you the entrance into the age-during reign of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

²⁰ and we have known that the Son of God is come, and has given us a mind, that we may know Him who is true, and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ; this one is the true God and the life age-during!

¹⁸ 'The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because He did anoint me; To proclaim good news to the poor, Sent me to heal the broken of heart, To proclaim to captives deliverance, And to blind receiving of sight, To send away the bruised with deliverance,

⁴¹ this one does first find his own brother Simon, and said to him, 'We have found the Messiah,' (which is, being interpreted, The Anointed,)

³⁴ for he whom God sent, the sayings of God he speaks; for not by measure does God give the Spirit;

¹⁷ Jesus said to her, 'Be not touching me, for I have not yet ascended unto my Father; and be going on to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father, and to my God, and to your God.'

²⁷ for gathered together of a truth against Your holy child Jesus, whom You did anoint, were both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with nations and peoples of Israel,

³⁸ Jesus who is from Nazareth -- how God did anoint him with the Holy Spirit and power; who went through, doing good, and healing all those oppressed by the devil, because God was with him;

⁹ The love unfeigned: abhorring the evil; cleaving to the good;

¹³ and the God of the hope shall fill you with all joy and peace in the believing, for your abounding in the hope in power of the Holy Spirit.

⁹ faithful is God, through whom you were called to the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

³¹ the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ -- who is blessed to the ages -- has known that I do not lie! --

²² And the fruit of the Spirit is: Love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith,

³ Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us in every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,

⁹ wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that is above every name,

¹¹ for both he who is sanctifying and those sanctified are all of one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,

²⁶ For such a chief priest did become us -- kind, harmless, undefiled, separate from the sinners, and become higher than the heavens,

³ Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to the abundance of His kindness did beget us again to a living hope, through the rising again of Jesus Christ out of the dead,

³ that which we have seen and heard declare we to you that you also may have fellowship with us, and our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ;

⁶ but this you have, that you do hate the works of the Nicolaitans, that I also hate. ⁷ He who is having an ear -- let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies: To him who is overcoming -- I will give to him to eat of the tree of life that is in the midst of the paradise of God.

¹⁵ so have you, even you, those holding the teaching of the Nicolaitans -- which thing I hate.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God; ² this one was in the beginning with God; ³ all things through him did happen, and without him happened not even one thing that has happened.

¹⁴ 'And to the messenger of the assembly of the Laodiceans write: These things says the Amen, the witness -- the faithful and true -- the chief of the creation of God;

³⁵ The heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

³¹ the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

³³ the heaven and the earth shall pass away, but my words may not pass away.

²⁷ and this -- 'Yet once' -- does make evident the removal of the things shaken, as of things having been made, that the things not shaken may remain;

⁷ and the present heavens and the earth, by the same word are treasured, for fire being kept to a day of judgment and destruction of the impious men. ⁸ And this one thing let not be unobserved by you, beloved, that one day with the Lord is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day; ⁹ the Lord is not slow in regard to the promise, as certain count slowness, but is long-suffering to us, not counselling any to be lost but all to pass on to reformation, ¹⁰ and it will come -- the day of the Lord -- as a thief in the night, in which the heavens with a rushing noise will pass away, and the elements with burning heat be dissolved, and earth and the works in it shall be burnt up.

¹¹ 'I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last; and, what you do see, write in a scroll, and send to the seven assemblies that are in Asia; to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.'

¹⁷ And when I saw him, I did fall at his feet as dead, and he placed his right hand upon me, saying to me, 'Be not afraid; I am the First and the Last, ¹⁸ and he who is living, and I did become dead, and, lo, I am living to the ages of the ages. Amen! and I have the keys of the hades and of the death.

⁸ 'And to the messenger of the assembly of the Smyrneans write: These things says the First and the Last, who did become dead and did live;

¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and Him who is sitting upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven did flee away, and place was not found for them;

¹ And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth did pass away, and the sea is not any more;

⁵⁸ Jesus said to them, 'Verily, verily, I say to you, Before Abraham's coming -- I am;'

⁸ Jesus Christ yesterday and to-day the same, and to the ages;

¹⁷ every good giving, and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning;

⁴⁴ The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, till I may make your enemies your footstool?

³⁶ for David himself said in the Holy Spirit, The Lord said to my lord, Sit you on My right hand, till I place your enemies -- your footstool;

²⁷ but those my enemies, who did not wish me to reign over them, bring hither and slay before me.'

⁴² and David himself said in the Book of Psalms, The Lord said to my lord, Sit you on my right hand,

³⁴ for David did not go up to the heavens, and he said himself: The Lord said to my lord, Sit you at my right hand, ³⁵ till I make your foes your footstool; ³⁶ assuredly, therefore, let all the house of Israel know, that both Lord and Christ did God make him -- this Jesus whom you did crucify.'

⁵⁵ and being full of the Holy Spirit, having looked stedfastly to the heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,

¹¹ And I saw the heaven having been opened, and lo, a white horse, and he who is sitting upon it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness does he judge and war, ¹² and his eyes are as a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems -- having a name written that no one has known, except himself, ¹³ and he is arrayed with a garment covered with blood, and his name is called, The Word of God. ¹⁴ And the armies in the heaven were following him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen -- white and pure; ¹⁵ and out of his mouth does proceed a sharp sword, that with it he may smite the nations, and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, and he does tread the press of the wine of the wrath and the anger of God the Almighty, ¹⁶ and he has upon the garment and upon his thigh the name written, 'King of kings, and Lord of lords.' ¹⁷ And I saw one messenger standing in the sun, and he cried, a great voice, saying to all the birds that are flying in mid-heaven, 'Come and be gathered together to the supper of the great God, ¹⁸ that you may eat flesh of kings, and flesh of chiefs of thousands, and flesh of strong men, and flesh of horses, and of those sitting on them, and the flesh of all -- freemen and servants -- both small and great.' ¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, having been gathered together to make war with him who is sitting upon the horse, and with his army; ²⁰ and the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who did the signs before him, in which he led astray those who did receive the mark of the beast, and those who did bow before his image; living they were cast -- the two -- to the lake of the fire, that is burning with brimstone; ²¹ and the rest were killed with the sword of him who is sitting on the horse, which sword is proceeding out of his mouth, and all the birds were filled out of their flesh.

¹⁵ and if any one was not found written in the scroll of the life, he was cast to the lake of the fire.

²⁰ And on his thinking of these things, lo, a messenger of the Lord in a dream appeared to him, saying, 'Joseph, son of David, you may not fear to receive Mary your wife, for that which in her was conceived is of the Holy Spirit,

¹³ And on their having withdrawn, lo, a messenger of the Lord does appear in a dream to Joseph, saying, 'Having risen, take the child and his mother, and flee to Egypt, and be you there till I may speak to you, for Herod is about to seek the child to destroy him.'

⁴¹ the Son of Man shall send forth his messengers, and they shall gather up out of his kingdom all the stumbling-blocks, and those doing the unlawlessness,

⁴⁹ so shall it be in the full end of the age, the messengers shall come forth and separate the evil out of the midst of the righteous, ⁵⁰ and shall cast them to the furnace of the fire, there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.'

¹⁰ 'Beware! -- You may not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you, that their messengers in the heavens do always behold the face of my Father who is in the heavens,

³¹ and he shall send his messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens unto the ends thereof.

³⁴ 'Then shall the king say to those on his right hand, Come you, the blessed of my Father, inherit the reign that has been prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

¹⁹ And the messenger answering said to him, 'I am Gabriel, who have been standing near before God, and I was sent to speak unto you, and to proclaim these good news to you,

²³ And it came to pass, when the days of his service were fulfilled, he went away to his house,

⁹ and lo, a messenger of the Lord stood over them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they feared a great fear.

¹³ And suddenly there came with the messenger a multitude of the heavenly host, praising God, and saying,

²² 'And it came to pass, that the poor man died, and that he was carried away by the messengers to the bosom of Abraham -- and the rich man also died, and was buried;

¹⁹ and a messenger of the Lord through the night opened the doors of the prison, having also brought them forth, he said,

³ he saw in a vision manifestly, as it were the ninth hour of the day, a messenger of God coming in unto him, and saying to him, 'Cornelius;' ⁴ and he having looked earnestly on him, and becoming afraid, said, 'What is it, Lord?' And he said to him, 'Your prayers and your kind acts came up for a memorial before God,

²² And the account was heard in the ears of the assembly that is in Jerusalem concerning them, and they sent forth Barnabas to go through unto Antioch,

⁷ and lo, a messenger of the Lord stood by, and a light shone in the buildings, and having smitten Peter on the side, he raised him up, saying, 'Rise in haste,' and his chains fell from off his hands.

²³ and presently there smote him a messenger of the Lord, because he did not give the glory to God, and having been eaten of worms, he expired.

² and in their ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, 'Separate you to me both Barnabas and Saul to the work to which I have called them,'

²⁶ and suddenly a great earthquake came, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, opened also presently were all the doors, and of all -- the bands were loosed;

²³ for there stood by me this night a messenger of God -- whose I am, and whom I serve --

⁶ for because of this also pay you tribute; for servants of God they are, on this very thing attending continually;

¹⁶ for my being a servant of Jesus Christ to the nations, acting as priest in the good news of God, that the offering up of the nations may become acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

²⁷ for it pleased well, and their debtors they are, for if in their spiritual things the nations did participate, they ought also, in the fleshly things, to minister to them.

¹² because the ministration of this service not only is supplying the wants of the saints, but is also abounding through many thanksgivings to God,

⁷ know you, then, that those of faith -- these are sons of Abraham,

⁹ 'Blessed in you shall be all the nations;' so that those of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham,

²⁹ and if you are of Christ then of Abraham you are seed, and according to promise -- heirs.

⁶ that the nations be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in the Christ, through the good news,

¹⁷ but if also I am poured forth upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and joy with you all,

²⁵ And I thought it necessary Epaphroditus -- my brother, and fellow-workman, and fellow-soldier, and your apostle and servant to my need -- to send unto you,

⁷ that having been declared righteous by His grace, heirs we may become according to the hope of life age-during.

⁹ and having been made perfect, he did become to all those obeying him a cause of salvation age-during,

¹² that you may not become slothful, but followers of those who through faith and patient endurance are inheriting the promises.

¹⁷ in which God, more abundantly willing to show to the heirs of the promise the immutability of his counsel, did interpose by an oath,

⁶ and now he has obtained a more excellent service, how much also of a better covenant is he mediator, which on better promises has been sanctioned,

¹¹ and every priest, indeed, has stood daily serving, and the same sacrifices many times offering, that are never able to take away sins.

⁵ Hearken, my brethren beloved, did not God choose the poor of this world, rich in faith, and heirs of the reign that He promised to those loving Him?

⁴ to an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and unfading, reserved in the heavens for you,

¹² to whom it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to us they were ministering these, which now were told to you (through those who did proclaim good news to you,) in the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, to which things messengers do desire to bend looking.

⁷ The husbands, in like manner, dwelling with them, according to knowledge, as to a weaker vessel -- to the wife -- imparting honour, as also being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers be not hindered.

¹⁴ And prophesy also to these did the seventh from Adam -- Enoch -- saying, 'Lo, the Lord did come in His saintly myriads,

⁶ and I saw, and lo, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb has stood as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the Seven Spirits of God, which are sent to all the earth,
