¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren, who hold to the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

¹⁰ Then Jesus said to him, Begone, Satan: for it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and him only shall you serve.

²² And, behold, there came one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,

²⁵ But a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:

¹⁹ And the angel answered him, I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God; and have been sent to speak to you, and to bring you this good news.

²⁵ Then he said to them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: ²⁶ Was it not necessary for the Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? ²⁷ And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them all the things concerning himself in the scriptures.

⁴⁴ He said to them, These are the words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which are written about me in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms.

²² You do not know what you worship: we know what we worship: for salvation is from the Jews. ²³ But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeks such to worship him. ²⁴ God is Spirit: and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

³⁹ You search the scriptures; for in them you think you have eternal life: and it is they that testify of me.

¹² And when Peter saw it, he answered the people, You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? or why do you look so earnestly at us, as though by our own power or holiness we made this man walk? ¹³ The God of Abraham, and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Son Jesus; whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had decided to let him go. ¹⁴ But you denied the Holy and Just One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you; ¹⁵ And killed the Prince of life, whom God has raised from the dead. Of this we are witnesses. ¹⁶ And his name, through faith in his name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know: and the faith which is through Jesus has given him this perfect health in the presence of you all. ¹⁷ And now, brethren, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your rulers. ¹⁸ But those things which God foretold by the mouths of all his prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he has fulfilled.

²⁵ And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him. ²⁶ But Peter raised him up, saying, Stand up; I am also a man.

⁴³ To him all the prophets bear witness that through his name whoever believes in him shall receive forgiveness of sins.

²⁷ For those who live in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not recognize him nor understand the words of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, have fulfilled these by condemning him.

¹¹ And when the people saw what Paul had done, they lifted up their voices, saying in the speech of Lycaonia, The gods have come down to us in the likeness of men. ¹² And they called Barnabas, Zeus; and Paul, Hermes, because he was the chief speaker. ¹³ Then the priest of Zeus, whose temple was in front of their city, brought oxen and garlands to the gates, and would have offered a sacrifice with the people. ¹⁴ When the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard this, they tore their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out, ¹⁵ Men, why do you these things? We also are men of the same nature as you, and we preach to you that you should turn from these vain things to the living God, who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all things that are in them.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God apart from the law has been manifested, though it is witnessed to by the law and the prophets; ²² This is the righteousness of God which is by faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe: for there is no difference:

⁷ Therefore, as you excel in everything, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all earnestness, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gracious work as well.

¹⁵ See then that you walk carefully, not as fools, but as wise men,

³³ Nevertheless, let every one of you love his wife as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

³ For we are the true circumcision, who worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and put no confidence in the flesh,

¹⁵ See that no one repays another with evil for evil; but always seek that which is good, both for yourselves, and for all men.

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to serve those who shall be heirs of salvation?

²⁵ See that you do not refuse him who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused him who warned them on earth, much less shall we escape, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven.

¹⁰ Of this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace that should come to you enquired and searched diligently: ¹¹ Seeking to find to whom and when the Spirit of Christ within them was pointing, when he testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow. ¹² It was revealed to them that they did not serve themselves, but you, in the things which have now been made known to you by those who preached the gospel to you through the Holy Spirit sent down from heaven; things into which angels desire to look.

¹⁹ And so we have the word of prophecy made more certain; to which you would do well to take heed, as to a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns, and the morning star arises in your hearts: ²⁰ Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is a matter of one's private interpretation. ²¹ For prophecy did not come in times of old by the will of man: but holy men spoke from God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

¹⁰ He who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself: he who does not believe God has made him a liar; because he does not believe the testimony that God has given regarding his Son.

²¹ Little children, keep yourselves from idols.

⁹ I, John, your brother and companion in the tribulation, and kingdom, and endurance which are ours in Jesus, was on the island that is called Patmos, because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

¹⁰ The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they did not love their lives to death.

¹⁷ And the dragon was furious with the woman, and went to make war against the rest of her descendants, those who keep the commandments of God, and hold to the testimony of Jesus.

⁷ Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment has come: and worship him who made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the springs of water.

⁴ Who shall not fear you, O Lord, and glorify your name? for you alone are holy: all nations shall come and worship before you; for your righteous acts have been revealed.

⁸ I, John, heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed me these things. ⁹ Then he said to me, Do not do that: I am a fellow servant with you and your brethren the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book: worship God.
