⁸ The beast that you saw was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go to perdition: and those who live on the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, shall marvel when they behold the beast, because he was, and is not, and is to come.

³⁴ Then shall the King say to those on his right hand, Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:

²⁴ Father, I desire that they also, whom you have given me, may be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which you have given me: for you loved me before the foundation of the world.

¹⁸ Says the Lord, who makes these things known from of old.

⁴ Just as he has chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him. In love

³ Let no man deceive you in any way: for that day shall not come, until there is first a falling away, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition; ⁴ Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he sits as God in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. ⁵ Do you not remember, that when I was yet with you, I told you these things? ⁶ And you know what restrains him now, that he might be revealed in his time. ⁷ For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work: only he who now restrains it will do so, until he is taken out of the way. ⁸ And then shall the lawless one be revealed, whom the Lord shall slay with the breath of his mouth, and shall destroy by the brightness of his coming.

² Which rests in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the beginning of time;

²⁰ Who was chosen before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for you,

⁵ He who overcomes, the same shall be clothed in white garments; and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

¹⁰ Because you have kept my word to patiently endure, I will keep you from the hour of trial, which shall come upon all the world, to test those who live upon the earth.

¹ And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven to the earth: and to him was given the key to the bottomless pit. ² And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose smoke out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.

⁷ And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

¹ { And I saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon each head a name of blasphemy.} ² And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his throne, and great authority. ³ And one of his heads seemed to have had a death-blow; but his deadly wound was healed: and all the world was astonished and followed after the beast. ⁴ And they worshipped the dragon, because he gave authority to the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast? who is able to make war against him? ⁵ And there was given to him a mouth speaking proud words and blasphemies; and authority was given to him to act for forty-two months. ⁶ And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his dwelling, and those who live in heaven. ⁷ And it was given to him to make war on the saints, and to overcome them: and authority was given to him over every tribe, and people, and tongue, and nation. ⁸ And all who live upon the earth shall worship him, every one whose name is not written in the book of life of the Lamb that was slain from the foundation of the world. ⁹ If any man has an ear, let him hear. ¹⁰ He who is to go into captivity shall go into captivity: he who kills with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints. ¹¹ And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spoke like a dragon. ¹² And he exercises all the power of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who live in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

⁸ And there followed another angel, saying, Fallen, fallen, is Babylon the great, she who made all the nations drink of the maddening wine of her adulteries. ⁹ And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead, or on his hand, ¹⁰ He shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out at full strength into the cup of his anger; and he shall be tormented with fire and sulphur in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: ¹¹ And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever: and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, or who receive the mark of his name. ¹² Here is the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. ¹³ And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord henceforth: Yes, says the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; for their works follow them. ¹⁴ And I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud sat one like a son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. ¹⁵ And another angel came out of the temple, crying out with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, Thrust in your sickle, and reap: for the time has come to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. ¹⁶ And he who sat upon the cloud swung his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. ¹⁷ And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. ¹⁸ And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has power over fire; and cried out with a loud cry to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in your sharp sickle, and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. ¹⁹ And the angel swung his sickle upon the earth, and gathered the grapes from the vine of the earth, and cast them into the great winepress of the wrath of God. ²⁰ And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood came out of the winepress, as high as the horses' bridles, for a distance of a thousand and six hundred stadia.

¹ And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go and pour out the bowls of the wrath of God upon the earth. ² And the first went, and poured out his bowl upon the earth; and foul and malignant sores fell upon the men who had the mark of the beast, and upon those who worshipped his image. ³ And the second angel poured out his bowl upon the sea; and it became like the blood of a dead man: and every living thing in the sea died. ⁴ And the third angel poured out his bowl upon the rivers and springs of water; and they became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, You are righteous, you who are, and were, O Holy One, because you have judged thus. ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink; for such is their due. ⁷ And I heard the altar say, Yes, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are your judgments. ⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his bowl upon the sun; and it was given power to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, who has power over these plagues: and they did not repent and give him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was filled with darkness; and they gnawed their tongues in pain, ¹¹ And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. ¹² And the sixth angel poured out his bowl upon the great river Euphrates; and its water was dried up, that the way for the kings of the east might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are the spirits of devils, working miraculous signs, who go forth to the kings of the whole world, to gather them for battle on the great day of God Almighty. ¹⁵ Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake, and keeps his garments with him, lest he walk naked and ashamed for all to see. ¹⁶ And they gathered them together at the place which in Hebrew is called Armageddon. ¹⁷ And the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done. ¹⁸ And there were flashes of lightning, and rumblings, and peals of thunder; and there was a great earthquake, such as had never been since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake it was, and so great.

¹¹ And the beast that was, and is not, is the eighth; and yet is one of the seven, and he goes to perdition.

¹⁵ And out of his mouth comes a sharp sword, with which he may strike the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of Almighty God. ¹⁶ And he has on his robe and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. ¹⁷ And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried out with a loud voice, saying to all the birds that fly in mid-heaven, Come and gather yourselves together for the great supper of God; ¹⁸ That you may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of those who sit upon them, and the flesh of all men, both free and slave, both small and great. ¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him who sat upon the horse, and against his army. ²⁰ And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed miraculous signs in his presence, with which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast, and those who worshipped his image. They were both cast alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulphur. ²¹ And the rest were slain with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat upon the horse: and all the birds were filled with their flesh.

¹⁰ And the devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and sulphur, where the beast and the false prophet were, and they shall be tormented day and night forever and ever.

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged by those things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.

¹⁵ And whoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
