³⁵ The people stood watching. And the rulers derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he is the Christ, the chosen of God.

¹⁷ And lo, a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

¹⁸ Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall proclaim justice to the Gentiles.

If you are the Son of God, come down from the cross. ⁴¹ Likewise the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, ⁴² He saved others; he cannot save himself. If he is the King of Israel, let him now come down from the cross, and we will believe in him. ⁴³ He trusted in God; let him deliver him now, if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God.

²⁹ And those who passed by kept abusing him, wagging their heads, and saying, Ah, you who would destroy the temple, and build it in three days, ³⁰ Save yourself, and come down from the cross. ³¹ Likewise, the chief priests mocked him among themselves and with the scribes, He saved others; but he cannot save himself. ³² Let Christ, the King of Israel, descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And those who were crucified with him also reviled him.

¹⁴ The Pharisees, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

⁶⁷ Are you the Christ? tell us.
