⁸ Though he was a Son, yet he learned obedience through the things which he suffered;

¹⁵ And Jesus answered him, Let it be so now: for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he consented.

³⁴ Jesus said to them, My food is to do the will of him who sent me, and to finish his work.

³⁸ For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

¹⁰ If you keep my commandments, you shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

⁸ And being found in form as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

² Has in these last days spoken to us by his Son, whom he has appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.

⁵ For to which of the angels has he at any time said, You are my Son, this day I have begotten you? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?

⁸ But of the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of your kingdom.

⁶ But Christ was faithful as a son over his own house, whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and our joyful hope.

⁵ Therefore, when he came into the world, he said, Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you have prepared for me; ⁶ In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you have had no pleasure. ⁷ Then I said, Lo, I come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me,) to do your will, O God. ⁸ After he said above, Sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and offerings for sin you did not desire, neither did you have pleasure in them, which are offered according to the law; ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come to do your will, O God. He takes away the first, that he may establish the second.
