²² You men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs, which God performed by him in your midst, as you yourselves know:

²³ And he came and lived in a city called Nazareth: that what was spoken by the prophets might be fulfilled, He shall be called a Nazarene.

⁸ But when the multitudes saw it, they marvelled, and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

² Now when John heard in prison about the works of Christ, he sent word by two of his disciples, ³ And said to him, Are you he who is to come, or should we look for another? ⁴ Jesus answered them, Go and tell John those things which you hear and see: ⁵ The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. ⁶ And blessed is he who does not find cause to stumble over me.

²⁸ But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

²⁰ When the men had come to him, they said, John the Baptist has sent us to you, saying, Are you he who is to come? or should we look for another? ²¹ And in that same hour he cured many people of their diseases and afflictions, and of evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight. ²² Then Jesus answered and said to them, Go your way, and tell John the things you have seen and heard; how the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the gospel is preached to the poor. ²³ And blessed is he who does not stumble over me.

²⁰ But if I cast out devils by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

¹⁸ And one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answered him, Are you the only visitor in Jerusalem who does not know the things which have come to pass there in these days?

⁴⁵ Philip found Nathanael, and said to him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, wrote about, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

² He came to Jesus by night, and said to him, Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God: for no man can do the miraculous signs that you do, unless God is with him.

⁴⁸ Then Jesus said to him, Unless you see signs and wonders, you will not believe.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, My Father works even until now, and I work. ¹⁸ Therefore the Jews sought all the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but also said that God was his Father, making himself equal with God. ¹⁹ Then Jesus answered and said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, The Son can do nothing by himself, but only what he sees the Father doing: for whatever things he does, these things the Son does likewise. ²⁰ For the Father loves the Son, and shows him all things that he is doing: and he will show him greater works than these, that you may marvel.

³⁶ But I have a greater witness than that of John: for the works which the Father has given me to finish, the very works that I do, these bear witness of me, that the Father has sent me.

¹⁴ Then those men, when they had seen the miraculous sign that Jesus did, said, This is truly the prophet who is to come into the world.

²⁷ Do not labour for the food which perishes, but for that food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of man shall give to you: for on him has God the Father set his seal.

³¹ And many of the people believed in him, and said, When the Christ comes, will he do more miraculous signs than this man has done?

³³ If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.

³⁷ If I do not do the works of my Father, do not believe me.

⁴⁰ Jesus said to her, Did I not say to you, that, if you would believe, you would see the glory of God? ⁴¹ Then they took away the stone. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank you that you have heard me. ⁴² And I knew that you always hear me: but because of the people who stand here I said it, that they may believe that you have sent me.

⁴⁷ Then the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, What should we do? for this man performs many miraculous signs .

¹⁷ Now the people who were with him when he called Lazarus out of his grave, and raised him from the dead, kept bearing witness.

¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak to you I do not speak of my own accord: but the Father who dwells in me, he does his works. ¹¹ Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me because of the works themselves.

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no other man has done, they would not have sin: but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.

¹⁹ And Pilate wrote a title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

¹² And when Peter saw it, he answered the people, You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this? or why do you look so earnestly at us, as though by our own power or holiness we made this man walk?

¹⁰ Then let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by him does this man stand here before you well.

³⁵ And he said to them, You men of Israel, take care what you intend to do about these men.

¹⁴ For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth shall destroy this place, and shall change the customs which Moses delivered to us.

³⁷ You know that word, which was proclaimed throughout all Judaea, beginning in Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; ³⁸ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power: how he went about doing good, and healing all who were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.

¹⁶ Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen.

²⁷ And when they had come, and had gathered the church together, they reported all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.

²⁸ Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man who teaches all men everywhere against the people, and the law, and this place: and further, he has also brought Greeks into the temple, and has polluted this holy place.

⁸ And I answered, Who are you, Lord? And he said to me, I am Jesus of Nazareth, whom you are persecuting.

⁵ For we have found this man to be a pestilent fellow, and a agitator among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

⁹ I truly thought to myself, that I ought to do many things to oppose to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

²⁶ For the king knows of these things, and before him I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this was not done in a corner.

¹² The signs of a true apostle were performed among you with all patience, by signs, and wonders, and miracles.

⁴ God also bearing witness, both with signs and wonders, and with various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will.
