¹⁶ But rise, and stand on your feet: for I have appeared to you for this purpose, to make you a minister and a witness both of these things which you have seen, and of those things in which I will appear to you.

¹⁷ For he was numbered with us, and had his part in this ministry.

²⁵ To take part in this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas turned aside, that he might go to his own place.

⁴ But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.

⁶ Arise, and go into the city, and you shall be told what you must do. ⁷ And the men who traveled with him stood speechless, hearing a voice, but seeing no one. ⁸ And Saul arose from the earth; and when his eyes were opened, he saw nothing: so they led him by the hand, and brought him into Damascus. ⁹ And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

¹⁵ But the Lord said to him, Go: for he is a chosen instrument of mine, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the sons of Israel: ¹⁶ I will show him how much he must suffer for my name's sake.

¹ Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers; Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen, who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul. ² As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, Separate for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them. ³ And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands upon them, they sent them away. ⁴ So, being sent forth by the Holy Spirit, they departed to Seleucia; and from there they sailed to Cyprus.

⁹ Then the Lord spoke to Paul at night by a vision, Do not be afraid, but speak, and do not hold your peace: ¹⁰ For I am with you, and no man shall attack and hurt you: for I have many people in this city.

²⁴ But I do not count my life as precious to myself, so that I might finish my course, and the ministry, which I have received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁹ And when he had greeted them, he declared in detail the things God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

¹⁰ And I said, What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said to me, Arise, and go into Damascus; and there it shall be told to you all things which are appointed for you to do.

¹⁴ And he said, The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will, and to see the Just One, and to hear the voice of his mouth. ¹⁵ For you shall be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.

¹⁷ And it came to pass, that when I had come again to Jerusalem, while I prayed in the temple, I fell into a trance; ¹⁸ And saw him saying to me, Make haste, and quickly get out of Jerusalem: for they will not receive your testimony concerning me. ¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they know that in every synagogue I imprisoned and beat those who believed in you: ²⁰ And when the blood of your martyr Stephen was shed, I was standing by, and consenting to his death, and kept the garments of those who killed him. ²¹ And he said to me, Depart: for I will send you far away to the Gentiles.

¹¹ And the next night the Lord stood by him, and said, Take courage: for as you have testified of me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome.

²³ For this night there stood before me an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, ²⁴ Saying, Do not fear, Paul; you must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God has given you all those who sail with you.

⁵ By whom we have received grace and apostleship, to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations, for his name's sake;

¹⁶ That I should be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, in the priestly service of the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Spirit.

¹ Therefore, since we have this ministry by God's mercy, we do not loose heart;

¹⁸ And all these things are from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

¹ Though it is not profitable for me to boast, I will go on to visions and revelations of the Lord. ² I knew a man in Christ who fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) was caught up to the third heaven. ³ And I know that this man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knows;) ⁴ Was caught up into paradise, and heard inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. ⁵ Of such a man I will boast: yet of myself I will not boast, except of my weaknesses. ⁶ If I should desire to boast, I shall not be a fool; for I will speak the truth: but I refrain, lest any man should think of me beyond that which he sees in me, or hears from me. ⁷ And lest I should exalt myself beyond measure through the abundance of revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger from Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted beyond measure.

¹² For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came by revelation from Jesus Christ.

² I went up because of a revelation, and communicated to them the gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who were of repute, lest by any means I should be running, or had run, in vain.

⁷ Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the working of his power. ⁸ To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, was this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

⁷ As you learned it from Epaphras, our dear fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on our behalf;

²³ If you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven; and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.

²⁵ Of which I was made a minister, according to the commission of God, which was given to me for you, to make the word of God fully known;

² And sent Timothy, our brother, and fellow-worker for God in the gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to comfort you in your faith:

¹² And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, for he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

⁶ If you point out all these things to the brethren, you shall be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished by the words of faith and of good doctrine, which you have been following.

⁵ But you, be steady in all things; endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.
