¹² For the performance of this service not only supplies the wants of the saints, but also overflows in many thanksgivings to God. ¹³ Because of the proof given by this service, they will glorify God because of your obedience to the gospel of Christ, which you profess, and for your liberal contribution to them, and to all; ¹⁴ And in their prayers, their hearts will go out to you because of the surpassing grace of God in you. ¹⁵ Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift.

⁹ And when I was present with you, and in want, I burdened no man: for that which I lacked the brethren who came from Macedonia supplied: and in all things I have kept myself from being burdensome to you, and so I will continue to do.

¹¹ Why? because I do not love you? God knows I do.

⁹ And he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore, most gladly will I boast in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. ¹⁰ Therefore, for Christ's sake, I take pleasure in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in distresses: for when I am weak, then I am strong.

¹⁵ And I will very gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I to be loved the less?

² And all the brethren who are with me, to the churches of Galatia:

⁸ But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be eternally accursed. ⁹ As we said before, so now I say again, If any man preach any other gospel to you than that which you have received, let him be eternally accursed.

¹⁰ They only asked that we would remember the poor; the very thing which I also was eager to do.

¹⁰ Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might.

¹³ Therefore, take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand on the evil day, and having done all, to stand. ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girded about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the readiness that is from the gospel of peace. ¹⁶ In addition to all these, take up the shield of faith, with which you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: ¹⁸ Praying always in the Spirit with all manner of prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert in it with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints;

²⁴ Grace be to all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love.

⁸ For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ.

²⁷ Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or am absent, I may hear of you, that you are standing fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

¹⁹ But I hope in the Lord Jesus to send Timothy to you shortly, that I may also be of good cheer, when I receive news from you. ²⁰ For I have no man like him, of so kindred a spirit, who will genuinely care for your welfare. ²¹ For all seek after their own interests, not those of Jesus Christ's. ²² But you know he has proven himself, that, as a son with his father, he has served with me in the gospel.

²⁸ Therefore, I sent him the more eagerly, that, when you see him again, you may rejoice, and I may be less anxious. ²⁹ Therefore, receive him in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such men in high regard: ³⁰ Because for the work of Christ he was near to death, not regarding his life, to complete the service you could not give.

¹⁸ For many, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even with weeping, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ:

⁵ Now the aim of this commandment is love from a pure heart, and a good conscience, and a sincere faith:

¹² Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

¹⁰ Having a reputation for good works; if she has brought up her children, if she has shown hospitality to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has devoted herself to every good work.

⁷ I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

⁴ But when the kindness and love of God our Saviour appeared,

⁴ Marriage is to be held in honour by all, and the marriage bed is to be undefiled: for the sexually immoral and adulterers God will judge.

⁷ Remember those who lead you, who have spoken to you the word of God: consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.

¹⁷ Obey those who lead you, and submit to them: for they watch over your souls as those who must give account. Let it be a joyful task for them, not a sad one: for that would be unprofitable for you.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: therefore be zealous, and repent.

⁴ These are the ones who have not defiled themselves with women; for they are chaste. These are those who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were redeemed from among men, as first-fruits to God and to the Lamb.

¹⁵ Behold, I come like a thief. Blessed is he who stays awake, and keeps his garments with him, lest he walk naked and ashamed for all to see.
