⁴ and it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only those men who have not the seal of God upon their foreheads;

²⁴ For there will rise up false Christs, and false prophets, and will show great signs and wonders, so that, if possible, even the chosen will be deceived.

³⁰ and grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.

⁸ Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so also do these withstand the truth; men corrupted in their minds, reprobate concerning the faith. ⁹ But they will proceed no further; for their folly will be clearly manifest to all, as that of those men was.

A hundred and fortyfour thousand were sealed out of all the tribes of the sons of Israel.

⁷ And the first sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth; and the third part of the earth was burnt up, and the third part of the trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.

¹ And I saw, and lo! the Lamb stood on Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and fortyfour thousand, having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.
