⁷ Blessed are the merciful; for they will obtain mercy.

¹⁴ For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you; ¹⁵ but if ye do not forgive men, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

³³ shouldst not thou also have had pity on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? ³⁴ And his lord was enraged, and delivered him to the inflicters of punishment, till he should pay all that was due to him. ³⁵ So also will my heavenly Father do to you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.

²⁵ And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one, that your Father who is in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good and lend, despairing of no one; and your reward will be great, and ye will be sons of the Most High; for he is kind to the unthankful and wicked.

³⁰ For as ye in times past were disobedient to God, but have now obtained mercy through their disobedience,

²⁵ Now concerning virgins, I have no commandment of the Lord; but I give my judgment, as one that hath obtained mercy of the Lord to be faithful.

¹ Therefore, having this ministry through the mercy we received, we are not fainthearted;

³² and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

¹² Clothe yourselves, therefore, as the chosen of God, holy and beloved, with compassionate affections, kindness, lowliness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;

¹³ though formerly I was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a doer of outrage; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly, in unbelief;

¹⁶ But for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me especially Christ Jesus might show forth all his longsuffering, as an example to those who should hereafter believe in him to life everlasting.

¹⁶ The Lord give mercy to the house of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain; but on the contrary, ¹⁷ when he arrived at Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me. ¹⁸ The Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that day: and what services he rendered me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

¹⁰ For God is not unjust so as to forget your work, and the love which ye showed toward his name, in that ye ministered and are still ministering to the saints.

¹³ For the judgment shall be without mercy to him that showed no mercy. Mercy glorieth against judgment.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy.

¹⁰ who once were not a people, but are now the people of God; who had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
