¹⁴ But after John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the glad tidings of God,

¹² Now when Jesus heard that John had been cast into prison, he withdrew into Galilee.

²³ And he went round the whole of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the glad tidings of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.

⁴³ But he said to them, I must publish the good tidings of the kingdom of God to the other cities also; because for this I was sent forth. ⁴⁴ And he continued to preach in the synagogues of Galilee.

¹ And it came to pass afterward, that he journeyed through cities and villages, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God; and the twelve were with him,

²² After these things Jesus and his disciples came into the land of Judaea; and there he remained with them, and baptized. ²³ And John also was baptizing in Aenon, near Salim, because there was much water there; and they came, and were baptized. ²⁴ For John was not yet thrown into prison.

²⁵ And now, behold, I know that ye all, among whom I went about preaching the kingdom, will see my face no more.

²³ And when they had appointed him a day, many came to him at his lodging; to whom he expounded, and earnestly testified, the kingdom of God, endeavoring to persuade them concerning Jesus both from the Law of Moses, and from the Prophets, from morning till evening.

¹⁷ And he came and brought the glad tidings of peace to you who were afar off, and of peace to those that were near;
