¹⁹ So then, the Lord, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven, and sat down on the right hand of God;

¹⁸ And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, All power was given to me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Go, and make all nations my disciples, baptizing them into the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit; ²⁰ teaching them to observe all things, whatever I have commanded you. And, lo! I am with you always, unto the end of the world.

⁵¹ And it came to pass, when the time was near for his being received up, that he himself steadily set his face to go to Jerusalem.

⁴⁴ And he said to them, These are my words which I spoke to you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled which are written in the Law of Moses, and the Prophets, and the Psalms, concerning me. ⁴⁵ Then he opened their understanding, that they might understand the Scriptures. ⁴⁶ And he said to them, Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer, and should rise from the dead on the third day, ⁴⁷ and that repentance for the remission of sins should be preached in his name among all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. ⁴⁸ Ye are witnesses of these things. ⁴⁹ And I send forth upon you that which hath been promised by my Father; but do ye tarry in the city, until ye are endued with power from on high. ⁵⁰ And he led them out as far as to Bethany; and he lifted up his hands and blessed them. ⁵¹ And it came to pass, while he blessed them, that he parted from them.

⁶² What then if ye behold the Son of man ascending where he was before?

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them unto the end.

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and have come into the world; again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁴ I have glorified thee on the earth, having finished the work which thou gavest me to do; ⁵ and now, Father! do thou glorify me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

¹³ But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in them.

¹⁷ Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brethren, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.

¹⁵ So when they had breakfasted, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, lovest thou me more than these? He saith to him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my lambs.

²² Jesus saith to him, If it be my will that he remain till I come, what is it to thee? Follow thou me.

² until the day in which, after he had through the Holy Spirit given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up; ³ to whom also he showed himself living, after he had suffered, by many sure proofs, appearing to them during forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.

⁹ And having thus spoken, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. ¹⁰ And while they were looking earnestly into heaven as he went up, lo! two men stood by them in white apparel, ¹¹ who said, Men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This Jesus, who hath been taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same manner in which ye beheld him going into heaven.

³³ Being therefore exalted by the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit, he hath poured forth this, which ye both see and hear.

²¹ whom heaven indeed must receive until the times of a restoration of all things; of which times God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from the days of old.

⁵⁵ But, being full of the Holy Spirit, he looked up earnestly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, ⁵⁶ and said, Lo, I behold the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

³⁴ Who is he that condemneth? Christ is he that died, yea rather, who rose again, who is also at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

²⁴ Then will be the end, when he delivereth up the kingdom to God, the Father, when he shall have destroyed all dominion, and all authority, and power. ²⁵ For he must reign, "till he hath put all enemies under his feet."

²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead; and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly regions, ²¹ far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come; ²² and put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things to the church,

⁸ Wherefore he saith: "When he ascended on high, he led captive a train of captives, and gave gifts to men." ⁹ Now what is implied in his ascending, but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He who descended is the same as he who ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;

¹ If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is sitting on the right hand of God.

¹⁶ And confessedly great is the mystery of godliness, in him who was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

³ who being a brightness from his glory and an image of his being, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself accomplished a cleansing of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

¹⁴ Since, then, we have a great highpriest, who hath passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.

²⁰ where as forerunner for us Jesus entered, having become a highpriest for ever, after the order of Melchizedek.

²⁶ For such a highpriest also became us, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹ Now the principal thing among those of which we are speaking is this: We have such a highpriest, who sat down on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens;

²⁴ For Christ did not enter into a sanctuary made with hands, which is only a copy of the true one, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God in our behalf.

¹² but he, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, sat down for ever on the right hand of God, ¹³ thenceforth waiting until his enemies be made his footstool.

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness for entrance into the sanctuary by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ a new and living way, which he consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, his flesh, ²¹ and having a great priest over the house of God, ²² let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having had our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience; and having had our bodies washed with pure water,

² looking to the author and perfecter of the faith, Jesus, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and hath sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²² who is on the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to him.

²⁰ Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any one hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. ²¹ He that overcometh, I will give to him to sit with me on my throne, even as I also overcame, and sat down with my Father on his throne.
