²⁶ But it is not to be so with you; but let the greatest among you be as the youngest; and he that is chief, as he that serveth.

³ and said, Truly do I say to you, Unless ye are changed, and become as children, ye will not enter the kingdom of heaven. ⁴ Whoever therefore shall humble himself as this child, he is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ⁵ And whoever receiveth one such child in my name, receiveth me.

⁸ But be not ye called Rabbi; for one is your teacher; and ye are all brethren. ⁹ And call no one your father on the earth; for one is your father, he who is in heaven. ¹⁰ Nor be ye called leaders; for one is your leader, the Christ. ¹¹ But the greatest among you will be your servant. ¹² And whoever shall exalt himself will be humbled; and whoever shall humble himself will be exalted.

³⁵ And sitting down, he called the twelve, and saith to them, If any one desire to be first, he will be last of all, and servant of all.

⁹ I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. ¹⁰ Wherefore, if I come, I will bring to remembrance his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words; and not content therewith, he himself doth not receive the brethren, and those that would he forbiddeth, and casteth them out of the church.
