¹⁷ They show a zeal for you, but not in honesty; yea, they wish to exclude you, that ye may be zealous for them.

¹⁵ Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he is made, ye make him twofold mole a son of hell than yourselves.

² For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.

¹⁸ For such men are not servants of our Lord Christ, but of their own appetites; and by good words and fair speeches they deceive the hearts of the simple.

¹² As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, these are constraining you to be circumcised, only that they may not suffer persecution for the cross of Christ. ¹³ For not even do they who become circumcised themselves keep the Law; but they desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.

²¹ for all of them are seeking their own things, not those of Christ Jesus.

³ and in covetousness will they with feigned words make merchandise of you; for whom the judgment long ago ordained lingereth not, and their destruction slumbereth not.

¹⁸ For speaking great swelling words of vanity, they allure in the lusts of the flesh, by dissolute ways, such as were in some measure escaping from those who live in error;
