⁹ On this account we also, from the day we heard of it, cease not to pray for you, and to ask that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

¹⁷ If any one is desirous to do his will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is from God, or whether I speak from myself.

⁵ Peter therefore was kept guarded in prison; but earnest prayer was made by the church to God in his behalf.

⁸ In the first place, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, how constantly I make mention of you, always in my prayers ¹⁰ supplicating that, if it be possible, I may at last through the will of God be favored with an opportunity of coming to you.

² and be not conformed to the fashion of this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that ye may learn by experience what is the will of God, what is good, and wellpleasing, and perfect.

⁵ that in him ye were enriched in everything, in all utterance, and all knowledge,

⁸ which he made to abound toward us, in all wisdom and understanding;

¹⁵ For this cause I also, having heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and of your love to all the saints, ¹⁶ do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him; ¹⁸ the eyes of your mind being enlightened, that ye may know what is the hope belonging to his call of you, and what the riches of the glory of the inheritance which he hath given among the saints, ¹⁹ and what the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, ²⁰ which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead; and seated him at his own right hand in the heavenly regions,

¹⁴ For this cause I bend my knees to the Father, ¹⁵ from whom every family in heaven and on earth receiveth its name, ¹⁶ that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; ¹⁷ that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith, ye having been rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ that ye may be able to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, ¹⁹ and to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled unto all the fullness of God.

¹⁰ proving what is acceptable to the Lord;

¹⁷ Wherefore be not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.

⁶ not with eyeservice as menpleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

⁴ always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy

⁹ And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all discernment; ¹⁰ so that ye may approve the things that are most excellent, in order that ye may be pure and without offence against the day of Christ, ¹¹ being filled with the fruit of righteousness which is through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

³ We give thanks to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you, ⁴ since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints,

⁶ which is come to you, as it is in all the world, and is bearing fruit and growing, as it doth also in you, from the day ye heard it, and knew the grace of God in truth;

¹⁶ Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, spiritual songs, in grace singing in your hearts to God;

⁵ Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, buying up opportunities.

¹² Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ Jesus, saluteth you, always striving for you in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

³ remembering without ceasing your work of faith, and labor of love, and perseverance in the hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before God our Father;

¹⁷ Pray without ceasing;

¹¹ For which end we also pray always for you, that our God may count you worthy of your calling, and perfect [in you] all pleasure in goodness, and the work of faith, with power;

³ I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, as without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day, ⁴ longing to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;

⁴ I thank my God at all times, making mention of thee in my prayers,

³⁶ For ye have need of endurance; that, after ye have done the will of God, ye may receive what is promised.

²¹ make you perfect in every good work, to do his will, doing in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be the glory for ever. Amen.

⁵ But if any one of you is wanting in wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all liberally, and upbraideth not; and it will be given him.

¹⁷ But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, without hypocrisy.

¹⁵ For so is the will of God, that with welldoing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men;

² that ye may no longer live the remaining time in the flesh after the lusts of men, but after the will of God.

¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and the lust thereof; but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God hath come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know the True One; and we are in the True One, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and everlasting life.
