⁷ And lo! an angel of the Lord came to him, and a light shone in the room; and he smote Peter on the side, and roused him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell from his hands.

⁹ And an angel of the Lord came to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were in great fear.

⁴ And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed about this, lo! two men stood by them in glittering apparel;

²⁴ But God raised him up, having loosed the pains of death, because it was not possible that he should be held by it.

³ And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus; and suddenly there shone around a him a light from heaven;

⁶ And when Herod was about to bring him forth, on that night Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and keepers before the door were guarding the prison.

²³ But immediately an angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory, and he was eaten by worms, and expired.

²⁶ And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and all the doors were immediately opened, and the bands of all were loosed.

²³ For there stood by me this night an angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, ²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul! Thou must stand before Caesar; and lo, God hath given thee all those that sail with thee.

¹⁴ Wherefore he saith, "Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ will give thee light."

¹⁴ Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

¹ After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.
