³ And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.

⁴⁶ But why call ye me Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

¹⁵ If ye love me, ye will keep my commandments;

²¹ He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me will be loved by my Father; and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. ²² Judas, not Iscariot, saith to him, And how is it, Lord, that thou art going to manifest thyself to us, and not to the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said to him, If any one loveth me, he will keep my word; and my Father will love him, and we will come to him, and make our abode with him. ²⁴ He that loveth me not, keepeth not my words; and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Fathers who sent me.

¹⁰ If ye keep my commandments, ye will abide in my love, even as I have kept my Fathers commandments, and abide in his love.

¹⁴ Ye are my friends, if ye do what I command you.

³ And this is the everlasting life, to know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou didst send.

⁶ For it is God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, that shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

¹ Furthermore then, brethren, we beseech you, and exhort you in the Lord Jesus, that, as ye received from us how ye ought to walk and to please God, even as ye are walking, ye would abound still more; ² for ye know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.

⁹ and being perfected became the author of everlasting salvation to all who obey him,

⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. ⁵ But whoever keepeth his word, truly in him is the love of God perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him. ⁶ He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

¹⁴ We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brethren; he that loveth not abideth in death.

¹⁹ And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him;

²² and whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do the things that are pleasing in his sight. ²³ And this is his commandment, that we should believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and should love one another, as he gave commandment. ²⁴ And he that keepeth his commandments abideth in him, and he in him; and hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit, which he gave us.

¹³ Hereby we know that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.

³ For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments; and his commandments are not burdensome,

¹⁹ We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth under the dominion of the Evil One.

¹⁴ Blessed are they that wash their robes, that they may have a right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.
