⁴⁰ but let all things be done becomingly, and in order.

¹³ Let us walk becomingly, as in the day; not in reveling and drunkenness, not in lewdness and wantonness, not in strife and envy;

³⁴ If any one hunger, let him eat at home; that ye may not come together to condemnation. And the rest I will set in order when I come.

²⁶ How is it then, brethren? When ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a lesson of instruction, hath a revelation, hath a tongue, hath an interpretation; let all things be done for edification. ²⁷ If any one speak in an [unknown] tongue, let it be by two, or, at the most, by three, and in turn; and let one interpret. ²⁸ But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. ²⁹ And of the prophets let two or three speak, and let the others judge; ³⁰ if anything be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first speaker be silent. ³¹ For one by one ye can all prophesy, that all may learn, and all may be exhorted. ³² And spirits of prophets are subject to prophets; ³³ for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
