³ Who will go up to the mountain of Jehovah? Who may stand in His holy place?

³ Moses said to Aaron: »This is what Jehovah was speaking about when he said: ‘All who serve me must respect my holiness. I will reveal my glory to my people.’« But Aaron remained silent.

¹² King David was told: »Jehovah has blessed Obed Edom’s home and everything he owns because of the Ark of God.« Then David joyfully went to get the Ark of God from Obed Edom’s house and bring it to the City of David. ¹³ When those who carried the Ark of Jehovah walked six steps, David sacrificed a bull and a fattened calf. ¹⁴ Wearing a linen ephod, David danced in Jehovah’s presence with all his might. ¹⁵ He and the entire nation of Israel brought the Ark of Jehovah with shouts of joy and the sounding of rams’ horns. ¹⁶ When the Ark of Jehovah came to the City of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked out of a window and saw King David leaping and dancing in Jehovah’s presence. She despised him in her heart. ¹⁷ The men carrying the Ark set it in its place inside the tent David put up for it. David sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings in Jehovah’s presence.

¹ David constructed buildings for himself in the City of David. Then he prepared a place for God’s Ark and pitched a tent for it.

²⁵ Thus David, the leaders of Israel, and the army’s commanders joyfully went to get the Ark of Jehovah’s Covenant from Obed Edom’s house. ²⁶ Because God helped the Levites who carried the Ark of the Jehovah’s Covenant, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams. ²⁷ David was dressed in a fine linen robe, as were all the Levites who carried the Ark, the Levites who were singers, and Chenaniah, the leader of the musicians’ prophetic songs. David also wore a linen ephod. ²⁸ All Israel brought the Ark of Jehovah’s Covenant with shouts of joy and the sounding of rams’ horns, trumpets, cymbals, harps, and lyres.

⁶ »I have installed (anointed) (established) my king on Zion, my holy mountain.«

¹ ([Psalm of David]) O Jehovah, who may stay in your tent? Who may reside on your holy mountain?

⁴ How blessed is the one you choose to bring near to you, to dwell in your courts. We will be satisfied with the goodness of your house, your holy Temple.

¹⁵ The mountain of Bashan is the mountain of God. The mountain of Bashan is the mountain with many peaks. ¹⁶ Why do you look with envy (desire) (greed), you mountains with many peaks, at the mountain where God has chosen to live? Certainly, Jehovah will live there forever.

¹⁸ You went to the highest place. You took prisoners captive. You have received gifts in the form of people, even from among rebellious people, so that Jehovah God may live there [with them].

⁶⁸ but he chose the tribe of Judah, Mount Zion he loved. ⁶⁹ He built his holy place to be like the high heavens, like the earth that he made to last for a long time.

¹³ Jehovah has chosen Zion. He wants it for his home. ¹⁴ This will be my resting place forever. Here I will sit enthroned because I want Zion.

¹ »Behold, I send my messenger! He will prepare the way before me. Seek Jehovah! He will suddenly come to his Temple along with the messenger of the covenant. He is one you desire, behold, he comes,« said Jehovah of Hosts.

³⁶ Simon Peter said: »Lord where are you going?« Jesus answered: »Where I am going you cannot follow me now. You will follow me later.«

¹⁷ Jesus said: »Do not touch me for I am not yet ascended to the Father. Go to my brothers, and say to them, I ascend to my Father and you’re Father, and my God and your God.« (Revelation 3:12)

⁸ Therefore it says: »When he ascended on high, he led captives, and gave gifts to men (anthropos: human beings).« ⁹ (Now this, He ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.)

²² You have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads (thousands of thousands) of angels, ²³ to the general assembly and congregation of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just (righteous) (holy) men made perfect (mature) (having all needed qualities). ²⁴ You have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks in a better way than the blood of Abel.

²⁸ Let us be thankful, because we will receive a kingdom that cannot be shaken. Let us be grateful and worship (serve) (intensely adore) God in a way that will please him, with reverence and awe.
