⁷ O Israel hope in Jehovah! For with Jehovah there is loving kindness. With him is abundant redemption.

⁵ Lord Jehovah, I put my hope in you. I have trusted in you since I was young.

³ He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God. Many will see, respect and trust in Jehovah.

⁵ You, O Jehovah, are good and forgiving, full of loving kindness toward everyone who calls out to you.

¹⁵ But you, O Jehovah, are a compassionate and merciful God. You are patient, always faithful and ready to forgive.

⁹ O Israel, trust Jehovah. He is your helper and your shield. ¹⁰ O Descendants of Aaron, trust Jehovah. He is your helper and your shield. ¹¹ If you reverence and respect Jehovah, trust Jehovah. He is your helper and your shield. ¹² Jehovah is always thinking about us. He will bless us. He will bless the descendants of Israel. He will bless the descendants of Aaron. ¹³ He will bless those who reverence and respect Jehovah, from the least important to the most important.

⁴ But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be reverenced.

¹ ([Psalm of David]) O Jehovah, my heart is not proud, my eyes are not haughty. I do not involve myself in great matters. I do not get involved in things too difficult for me.

³ O Israel, hope in Jehovah from this time and forever.

⁷ Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to Jehovah, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

¹² »I will leave a faithful few, a humble and lowly people with you. They will seek refuge in the name of Jehovah.

²⁴ We are saved by this hope. But hope that is seen is not hope. For does a man hope for what he sees?

²⁰ The law came that the trespass might increase. But where sin increased God’s loving kindness increased even more. ²¹ And what for? Just as sin reigned in death, even so might grace reign through righteousness to everlasting life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

⁷ In him we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace. ⁸ He made this undeserved kindness abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence (insight).

⁵ There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. ⁶ He gave himself as a ransom for all. A witness was to be given at the right time.

³⁵ Do not lose your courage (confidence) (boldness). It brings a great reward with it.

¹ My little children, I write you these things that you may not sin. If any man sin, we have an Advocate (intercessor) (comforter) (helper) with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous! ² He is the propitiation (Greek: hilasmos: atonement, compensation) for our sins. Not for ours only, but also for the whole world.

⁹ They sing a new song, saying: »You are worthy to take the book, and to open the seals, for you were slaughtered and by your blood you bought persons for God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation.
