¹⁵ Do not love the world or the things in the world. If any one loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ The entire world, the desire of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of material wealth, is not from the Father, but is from the world.

³ For this is the love of God, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome.
