As he lay stretched out over the boy, the boy's body started to get warm. ³⁵ Elisha got up and walked around the room. He returned and again stretched himself over the boy. The boy sneezed seven times and then opened his eyes. ³⁶ Elisha called Gehazi and told him to call the boy's mother. When she came in, he said to her: »Take your son!«

²¹ Stretching himself out on the child three times, he made his prayer to Jehovah. He said: »O Jehovah my God, be pleased to let this child's life come back to him again.« ²² Jehovah listened to the voice of Elijah. The child began to breath and came back to life.

⁴¹ Their fear was great. They said to themselves: »Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey his orders?«

¹⁴ He came near the casket and touched it. The bearers stood still. He said, »Young man arise.« ¹⁵ He who was dead sat up and spoke and he was returned to his mother.

⁶ Then Peter said: »We have no money but what I have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.«

¹² When Peter saw this he spoke to the people: »You men of Israel, why are you amazed at this? Why do you look at us as though our own power or holiness made this man walk?

³⁴ Peter said to him: »Aeneas, Jesus Christ makes you whole! Stand up and take your bed.« And he stood up immediately.

⁴⁰ Peter put them all outside, kneeled down, and prayed. He turned to the body and said: »Tabitha, rise!« She opened her eyes. When she saw Peter, she sat up.
