Psalms 88:4-8

4 I am numbered with those who go into the pit. I am like a man without any strength. 5 I am abandoned with the dead, like those who have been killed and lie in graves. I am like those whom you no longer remember, who are cut off from your hand (power) (care). 6 You have put me in the bottom of the pit, in deep dark places. 7 Your rage lies heavily on me. Isaiah 38:17-18

17 »Yes, it was for my benefit that I suffered such distress. In your love you kept me from the pit of destruction. You have put (thrown) (hurled) all my sins behind your back. 18 »For the grave cannot praise you, death cannot sing your praise. Those who go down to the pit cannot hope for your faithfulness.
