⁴ »God is wise in heart and mighty in strength. Who has hardened himself against him and prospered?

⁶ and disclose to you the secrets of wisdom, for true wisdom has two sides. Know this: God has even forgotten some of your sin.

¹⁶ »To him belong strength and victory. Both deceived and deceivers are his.

He confirmed it and examined it. ²⁸ »To man he said: ‘Respect for Jehovah is wisdom! To stay away from evil is understanding.’«

³⁶ »Who endowed the innermost being with wisdom or gave understanding to the mind?

⁶ Jehovah gives wisdom. From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. ⁷ He stores up insightful (sound) (substantial) wisdom for the upright. He is a shield for those who walk in integrity.

¹⁴ »Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I understand and I am very strong.

⁵ Our Lord is great, and his power is great. There is no limit to his understanding.

¹³ Who has understood the mind of Jehovah, or has instructed him, as his counselor? ¹⁴ Whom did Jehovah consult to enlighten him? Who taught him the right way? Who was it that taught him knowledge or showed him the path of understanding?

¹⁰ »I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say: ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

¹² He who made the earth by his power, and established the world by his wisdom; also stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

²⁰ Daniel said: »Praise be the name of God forever and ever, for wisdom and might are his.

¹⁵ »I will give you ability to talk and words of wisdom, which your adversaries shall not be able to resist or refute.

³⁴ For who has known the mind of Jehovah? Or who has been his counselor? (Isaiah 40:13)

²⁴ To those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, it is Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

⁸ He made this undeserved kindness abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence (insight).

¹¹ We were assigned as heirs predetermined according to his purpose. He works all things according to his direction and will.

³ In him is concealed all the hidden treasures of God’s wisdom and knowledge.

⁵ If any of you lacks wisdom let him ask of God. He gives to all generously and without reproach and it will be given to him.
