¹ Jehovah reigns! Let the earth rejoice and let the multitude of islands be glad.

⁶ »Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.«

¹⁰ »The stars of heaven and their constellations will not shine forth their light. The sun will be dark when it rises and the moon will not shine its light.

²⁶ Then the light of the moon will be like the light of the sun. The light of the sun will be seven times as strong, like the light of seven days. When that day comes, Jehovah will bandage his people's injuries and heal the wounds he inflicted.

⁷ How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace and who bring good tidings of good things! For they proclaim salvation and say to Zion: »Your God reigns as king!« (Hebrew: Elohiym’ malak’: God rules!)

¹⁹ »The sun will no longer be your light during the day. The brightness of the moon will not give you light, for Jehovah will be your everlasting light. Your God will be your glory.

¹² When he opened the sixth seal I saw a great earthquake. ¹⁵ The seventh angel blew his trumpet. There were great voices in heaven, saying: »The kingdom of the world has become our God’s, and his Christ will rule as king forever and ever.«

¹ A Lamb stood on Mount Zion, and with him one hundred forty-four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads.

⁴ The twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God, who sat on the throne, saying: »Amen! Praise Jehovah!« (Psalm 117:1)

²³ The city did not need the sun or the moon to shine on it. For the glory of God and of the Lamb was its light.

⁵ There will be no night there. They need no lamp, neither light of the sun, for Jehovah God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
