Wash its internal organs and its legs, and put them on top of the head and the other pieces. ¹⁸ »Burn the whole ram on the altar. It is burnt offering to Jehovah. The odor of this offering pleases me.

¹⁸ Moses led out the ram for the sacrifice to please Jehovah. After Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head, ¹⁹ Moses slaughtered the ram and splattered its blood against the four sides of the altar. ²⁰ The ram was cut into pieces. Moses burned the head with the other pieces and the fat. ²¹ He washed the internal organs and the legs. Then Moses burned the whole ram on the altar as Jehovah commanded him. It was a burnt offering, a pleasant aroma, an offering by fire to Jehovah.

⁶ We are all like sheep. We have gone astray! Each of us has turned to his own way. Jehovah has caused the iniquity (sin) of all of us to be laid on him.

¹⁰ It was Jehovah’s will to allow him to be crushed. Even though Jehovah makes his life a guilt offering, he will see his offspring and prolong his days, and the will of Jehovah will prosper in his hand.

²⁰ »‘Take some of the bull's blood, and put it on the altars four horns, on the four corners of the ledge, and on the rim all the way around the altar. When you do this, you will remove sin from the altar and make peace with Jehovah.
