⁴ More majestic than the sounds of many waters, more majestic than the breakers of the sea, the LORD on high is majestic.

¹¹ and said, 'Here you may come, but no further. Here your proud waves shall be stayed?'

⁷ who stills the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations.

⁶ For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of God is like the LORD,

⁹ You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.

⁸ But you, LORD, are on high forevermore.

³ The sea saw it, and fled. The Jordan was driven back. ⁴ The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs. ⁵ What was it, you sea, that you fled? You Jordan, that you turned back?

²² Do you not fear me?' says the LORD 'Won't you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it can't pass it? And though its waves toss themselves, yet they can't prevail; though they roar, yet they can't pass over it.'

³⁷ And a big wind storm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so much that the boat was already filled. ³⁸ And he himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion, and they woke him up, and told him, "Teacher, do you not care that we are dying?" ³⁹ And he awoke, and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace. Be still." And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
