Vindicate me in your might. ² Hear my prayer, God. Listen to the words of my mouth. ³ For strangers have risen up against me. Violent men have sought after my soul. They haven't set God before them. Selah. ⁴ Look, God is my helper. The Lord is the one who sustains my soul. ⁵ He will repay the evil to my enemies. Destroy them in your truth. ⁶ With a free will offering, I will sacrifice to you. I will give thanks to your name, LORD, for it is good. ⁷ For he has delivered me out of all trouble. My eye has seen triumph over my enemies.

¹⁴ And God said to Moses, "I AM THAT I AM," and he said, "You shall tell the children of Israel this: 'I AM has sent me to you.'" ¹⁵ And God said moreover to Moses, "You shall tell the children of Israel this, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation.

²¹ Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Do not provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.

¹⁹ Then the Ziphites came up to Saul to Gibeah, saying, "Doesnʼt David hide himself with us in the strongholds at Horesh, on the hill of Hakilah, which is on the south of Jeshimon? ²⁰ Now therefore, O king, come down, according to all the desire of your soul to come down. It will be our responsibility to deliver him up into the king's hand."

¹ The Ziphites came to Saul to Gibeah, saying, "Doesn't David hide himself on the hill of Hakilah, which is before Jeshimon?"

⁶ and he said, "O LORD, the God of our fathers, aren't you God in heaven? Aren't you ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in your hand, so that no one is able to withstand you.

¹ [For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high.

¹ [By David.] Judge me, LORD, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in LORD without wavering.

¹ Vindicate me, God, and plead my cause against a faithless nation. Oh, deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. ² For you, God, are my strength. Why have you rejected me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

¹⁰ As is your name, God, so is your praise to the farthest parts of the earth. Your right hand is full of righteousness.

⁹ Help us, God of our salvation, for the glory of your name. Deliver us, and forgive our sins, for your name's sake.

⁴ The King's strength also loves justice. You do establish equity. You execute justice and righteousness in Jacob.

¹⁰ The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run into it and are safe.

¹¹ for their Defender is strong. He will plead their case against you.

²⁷ Look, the name of the LORD comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire.

³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong; the LORD of hosts is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

⁵ Do not trust in a neighbor. Do not put confidence in a friend. With the woman lying in your embrace, be careful of the words of your mouth. ⁶ For the son dishonors the father, the daughter rises up against her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

²¹ And she will bring forth a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins."

²³ "Look, the virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call his name Immanuel;" which is translated, "God with us."

²¹ "And brother will deliver up brother to death, and the father his child. Children will rise up against parents, and cause them to be put to death.

¹² And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among people by which we must be saved."

Consider my meditation. ² Give attention to the voice of my cry, my King and my God; for to you do I pray. ³ LORD, in the morning you shall hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and watch.

³ Look, and answer me, LORD, my God. Give light to my eyes, lest I sleep in death;

² Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my petitions.

⁷ Hurry to answer me, LORD. My spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me, so that I do not become like those who go down into the pit.

¹³ "He has put my brothers far from me. My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me. ¹⁴ My relatives have gone away. My familiar friends have forgotten me. ¹⁵ Those who dwell in my house, and my maids, count me for a stranger. I am a foreigner in their sight.

⁸ I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

¹⁶ For many dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and my feet.

¹ [For the Chief Musician. By David, the servant of the LORD.] Transgression speaks to the wicked within his heart. There is no fear of God before his eyes.

¹⁴ Let them be put to shame and confounded together who seek after my soul to destroy it. Let them be turned backward and brought to dishonor who delight in my hurt.

⁴ Have evildoers no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call on God?

³ For, look, they lie in wait for my soul. The mighty gather themselves together against me, not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, LORD. ⁴ I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, look, and help me. ⁵ You, LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah.

⁸ I have become a stranger to my brothers, a foreigner to my mother's children.

¹⁴ God, the proud have risen up against me. A company of violent men have sought after my soul, and they do not hold regard for you before them.

²⁰ Now the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and destroy Jesus. ²¹ But the governor answered them, "Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" They said, "Barabbas." ²² Pilate said to them, "What then should I do with Jesus, who is called Christ?" They all said, "Let him be crucified." ²³ But he said, "Why? What evil has he done?" But they shouted all the louder, saying, "Let him be crucified."

³ They will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.

¹⁸ Then the Spirit came on Amasai, who was chief of the Thirty, and he said, "We are yours, David, and on your side, you son of Jesse: peace, peace be to you, and peace be to your helpers; for your God helps you." Then David received them, and made them captains of the band.

¹² As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.

⁶ The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me? ⁷ The LORD is my helper; and I will look in triumph on those who hate me.

¹³ I was pushed hard, to make me fall, but the LORD helped me.

¹⁰ Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

¹ "Look, my servant I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the nations.

⁷ For the LORD will help me; therefore I have not been confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be disappointed. ⁸ He is near who justifies me; who will bring charges against me? Let us stand up together: who is my adversary? Let him come near to me. ⁹ Look, the LORD will help me; who is he who shall condemn me? Look, all they shall wax old as a garment, the moth shall eat them up.

³¹ What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

⁶ So we can confidently say, "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can humans do to me?"

⁸ Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before me.

¹¹ Teach me your way, LORD. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.

²³ Oh love the LORD, all you his faithful ones. The LORD preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.

⁴⁹ Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your faithfulness?

²³ He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. The LORD, our God, will cut them off.

⁸ Daughter of Babylon, doomed to destruction, he will be blessed who rewards you, as you have served us.

¹ [A Psalm by David.] Hear my prayer, LORD. Listen to my petitions. In your faithfulness and righteousness, relieve me.

¹² In your loving kindness, cut off my enemies, and destroy all those who afflict my soul, For I am your servant.

¹⁴ Alexander, the coppersmith, did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his works,

⁶ Return to her just as she returned, and repay her double as she did, and according to her works. In the cup which she mixed, mix to her double.

⁶ and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock: ⁷ and there you shall eat before the LORD your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which the LORD your God has blessed you.

¹⁷ I will give thanks to the LORD according to his righteousness, and will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.

¹³ Be exalted, LORD, in your strength, so we will sing and praise your power.

¹⁴ Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving. Pay your vows to the Most High.

⁹ I will give you thanks forever, because you have done it. I will hope in your name, for it is good, in the presence of your faithful ones.

¹³ I will come into your temple with burnt offerings. I will pay my vows to you, ¹⁴ which my lips promised, and my mouth spoke, when I was in distress. ¹⁵ I will offer to you burnt offerings of fat animals, with the offering of rams, I will offer bulls with goats. Selah. ¹⁶ Come, and hear, all you who fear God. I will declare what he has done for my soul.

¹ [A Psalm. A song for the Sabbath day.] It is a good thing to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, Most High;

²² Let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with singing.

¹⁷ I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of the LORD.

¹³ Surely the righteous will give thanks to your name. The upright will dwell in your presence.

¹ Praise the LORD, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.

¹⁶ the Angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys. And may my name be carried on in them, and the names of my fathers Abraham and Isaac. And may they grow into a multitude upon the earth."

²⁴ Look, as your life was respected this day in my eyes, so let my life be respected in the eyes of the LORD, and let him deliver me out of all oppression."

⁹ David answered Rechab and Baanah his brother, the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, and said to them, "As the LORD lives, who has redeemed my soul out of all adversity,

⁶ This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

¹⁹ Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him out of them all.

³⁴ Wait for the LORD, and keep his way, and he will exalt you to inherit the land. When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.

¹⁰ The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked; ¹¹ so that men shall say, "Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth."

¹⁰ My God of mercy will come to meet me. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.

⁸ You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.

¹¹ My eye has also seen my enemies. My ears have heard of the wicked enemies who rise up against me.

⁸ His heart is secure, he has no fears; in the end he will look in triumph on his adversaries.

⁷ The LORD is my helper; and I will look in triumph on those who hate me.

¹⁸ And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom; to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
