³ As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming, and of the end of the age?"

⁶ And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, "How long shall it be till these wonders take place?" ⁷ I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. ⁸ And I heard, but I did not understand. Then I said, "My lord, what shall be the outcome of these things?"

¹⁰ Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Why do you speak to them in parables?" ¹¹ And answering, he said to them, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but it is not given to them.

³⁶ Then Jesus sent the crowds away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the tares in the field."

³⁹ and the enemy who sowed them is the devil, and the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. ⁴⁰ As therefore the tares are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of the age.

⁴⁹ So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous,

¹² Then the disciples came, and said to him, "Do you know that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?"

³² "Now from the fig tree learn this parable. When its branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you know that the summer is near. ³³ Even so you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

³⁷ "As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

³⁹ and they did not know until the flood came, and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.

⁴³ But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have watched, and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.

²⁰ teaching them to obey all things that I commanded you. And look, I am with you every day, even to the end of the age."

³ As he sat on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John, and Andrew asked him privately, ⁴ "Tell us, when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are all about to be fulfilled?"

⁷ They asked him, "Teacher, so when will these things be? What is the sign that these things are about to happen?"

²¹ Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, "Lord, what about this man?" ²² Jesus said to him, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me."

⁷ He said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within his own authority.

¹ But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. ² For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. ³ Now when they are saying, "Peace and safety," then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape. ⁴ But you, brothers, are not in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. ⁵ You are all children of light, and children of the day. We do not belong to the night, nor to darkness, ⁶ so then let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us watch and be sober. ⁷ For those who sleep, sleep in the night, and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. ⁸ But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation. ⁹ For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁰ who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. ¹¹ Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.

²⁶ or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
