²² When Jesus heard it, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me."

⁴ One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to see the LORD's beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

¹⁹ "Do not store up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and decay destroy, and where thieves break through and steal; ²⁰ but store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor decay destroy, and where thieves do not break through and steal;

²¹ Jesus said to him, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me."

But he said, "Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father." ⁶⁰ But Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead, but you go and announce the Kingdom of God." ⁶¹ Another also said, "I want to follow you, Lord, but first allow me to bid farewell to those who are at my house." ⁶² But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God."

⁴² but one thing is needed. Mary has chosen the good part, which will not be taken away from her."

³³ Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys.

⁹ And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by means of unrighteous mammon, so that when it is gone they may welcome you into the everlasting dwellings.

⁴⁴ All who believed were together, and had all things in common. ⁴⁵ They sold their possessions and goods, and distributed them to all, according as anyone had need.

³⁴ For neither was there among them any who lacked, for as many as were owners of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, ³⁵ and put them at the apostles' feet, and distribution was made to each, according as anyone had need. ³⁶ Joseph, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas (which is translated, Son of Encouragement), a Levite, a native of Cyprus by birth, ³⁷ having a field, sold it, and brought the money and put it at the apostles' feet.

¹³ Brothers, I do not regard myself as having taken hold of it, but one thing I do. Forgetting the things which are behind, and reaching forward to the things which are ahead,

¹⁸ that they do good, that they be rich in good works, that they be ready to distribute, willing to communicate; ¹⁹ laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold of that which is truly life.

⁸ But do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
