² and to the kings who were on the north, in the hill country, in the Arabah south of Kinnereth, in the lowland, and in the heights of Dor on the west,

²¹ the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one;

²³ the king of Dor in Naphath Dor, one; the king of Goyim in Galilee, one;

⁹ together with the cities which were set apart for the descendants of Ephraim in the midst of the inheritance of the descendants of Manasseh, all the cities with their villages.

²⁷ Manasseh did not drive out the inhabitants of Beth Shean and its towns, nor Taanach and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Dor and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Ibleam and its towns, nor the inhabitants of Megiddo and its towns; but the Canaanites would dwell in that land.

¹⁹ The kings came and fought, then the kings of Canaan fought at Taanach by the waters of Megiddo. They took no plunder of silver.

²⁹ and by the borders of the people of Manasseh, Beth Shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Ibleam and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, Dor and its towns. In these lived the people of Joseph the son of Israel.

²² Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and did not listen to the words of Neco from the mouth of God, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo.

¹¹ In that day there will be a great mourning in Jerusalem, like the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.
