³⁹ and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good, and of their children after them:

⁷ I will establish my covenant between me and you and your descendants after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be God to you and to your descendants after you.

¹⁹ For I have made myself known to him, so that he may command his children and his household after him, that they may keep the way of the LORD, to do righteousness and justice, so that God may bring to Abraham that which he has spoken to him."

¹² He said, "Do not lay your hand on the boy, neither do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only one, from me."

²⁹ Oh that there were such a heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children forever.

¹⁸ Therefore you shall lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul; and you shall bind them for a sign on your hand, and they shall be for symbols between your eyes. ¹⁹ You shall teach them your children, talking of them, when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up. ²⁰ You shall write them on the door posts of your house, and on your gates; ²¹ that your days may be multiplied, and the days of your children, in the land which the LORD swore to your fathers to give them, as the days of the heavens above the earth.

¹² Also in Judah came the hand of God to give them one heart, to do the commandment of the king and of the leaders by the word of the LORD.

¹ Praise the LORD. Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who delights greatly in his commandments.

¹³ He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great. ¹⁴ May the LORD increase you more and more, you and your children. ¹⁵ Blessed are you by the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

⁶ Yes, may you see your children's children. Peace be upon Israel.

²⁶ In the fear of the LORD is a secure fortress, and he will be a refuge for his children. ²⁷ The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, turning people from the snares of death.

¹⁷ Do not let your heart envy sinners; but rather fear the LORD all the day long.
