¹⁸ It will happen that he who flees from the noise of the fear will fall into the pit; and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit will be taken in the snare; for the windows of heaven are opened, and the foundations of the earth tremble.

¹¹ In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep were burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened.

I will remove the memory of them from men;

¹⁰ The LORD confused them before Israel, and he killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them by the way of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah. ¹¹ And it happened, as they fled from before the children of Israel while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, that the LORD cast down stones from the sky on them as far as Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than who the children of Israel killed with the sword.

²⁹ They camped one over against the other seven days. ⁸ For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh. ⁹ A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him. ¹⁰ A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him in the way. ¹¹ Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall chase him at his heels. ¹² His strength shall be famished. Calamity shall be ready at his side. ¹³ The members of his body shall be devoured. The firstborn of death shall devour his members. ¹⁴ He shall be rooted out of his tent where he trusts. He shall be brought to the king of terrors. ¹⁵ There shall dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur shall be scattered on his habitation. ¹⁶ His roots shall be dried up beneath. Above shall his branch be cut off.

²⁴ He shall flee from the iron weapon. The bronze arrow shall strike him through.

⁷ Then the earth shook and trembled. The foundations also of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry.

¹⁵ And the depths of the sea appeared. The foundations of the world were laid bare at your rebuke, LORD, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.

² Therefore we won't be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; ³ though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling. Selah.
