³ For I rejoiced greatly, when brothers came and testified about your truth, even as you walk in truth.

¹¹ In my heart I have hidden your word, that I might not sin against you.

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for all of you, because your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the Good News of his Son, how I constantly mention you

⁶ Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus; ⁷ and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you, while he told us of your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me; so that I rejoiced still more.

¹⁵ For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, ¹⁶ do not cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers,

⁴ always in every prayer of mine for all of you, making my requests with joy,

⁷ even as you learned of Epaphras our beloved fellow servant, who is a faithful servant of Christ on our behalf, ⁸ who also declared to us your love in the Spirit.

¹⁹ For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming? ²⁰ For you are our glory and our joy.

⁶ But when Timothy came just now to us from you, and brought us glad news of your faith and love, and that you have good memories of us always, longing to see us, even as we also long to see you; ⁷ for this cause, brothers, we were comforted over you in all our distress and affliction through your faith. ⁸ For now we live, since you stand firm in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanksgiving can we render again to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sakes before our God;

² for the truth's sake, which remains in us, and it will be with us forever:

⁴ I rejoice greatly that I have found some of your children walking in truth, even as we have been commanded by the Father.

⁴ I have no greater joy than this, to hear about my children walking in truth.
