¹⁴ If you will walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as your father David walked, then I will lengthen your days."

⁸ Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of the LORD your God; that you may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you forever. ⁹ You, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind; for the LORD searches all hearts, and understands all the imaginations of the thoughts. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.

³ The LORD was with Jehoshaphat, because he walked in the first ways of his father, and did not seek the Baals, ⁴ but sought to the God of his father, and walked in his commandments, and not after the doings of Israel. ⁵ Therefore the LORD established the kingdom in his hand; and all Judah brought to Jehoshaphat tribute; and he had riches and honor in abundance.

²³ Oh love the LORD, all you his faithful ones. The LORD preserves the faithful, and fully recompenses him who behaves arrogantly.

³⁷ He said to him, "'You are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'

²⁹ Jesus answered, "The first is, 'Hear, Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. ³⁰ And you are to love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.'

¹⁵ If you love me, you will keep my commandments.

¹² Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which he promised to those who love him.

⁵ Listen, my beloved brothers. Did not God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him?
