¹² Solomon sat on the throne of David his father; and his kingdom was firmly established.

¹² And it will come about when your days are fulfilled, and you sleep with your fathers, that I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come from your body, and I will establish his kingdom. ¹³ He will build a house for my name, and I will establish his throne forever.

²⁹ Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, Lord GOD, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing."

⁴⁶ Also, Solomon sits on the throne of the kingdom.

²³ Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him. ²⁴ And all the leaders, the mighty men, and also all of the sons of king David submitted themselves to Solomon the king. ²⁵ The LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

¹ Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.

⁸ He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, from the River to the farthest parts of the earth. ⁹ Those who dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him. His enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the islands will bring tribute. The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yes, all kings shall fall down before him. All nations shall serve him. ¹² For he will deliver the needy when he cries; the poor, who has no helper. ¹³ He will have pity on the poor and needy. He will save the souls of the needy. ¹⁴ He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence. Their blood will be precious in his sight. ¹⁵ And he shall live, and the gold of Sheba shall be given to him. Men shall pray for him continually. He shall bless him all day long. ¹⁶ There shall be abundance of grain throughout the land. Its fruit sways like Lebanon. Let it flourish, thriving like the grass of the field. ¹⁷ His name endures forever. His name continues as long as the sun. Men shall be blessed by him. All nations will call him blessed. ¹⁸ Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, who alone does marvelous deeds. ¹⁹ Blessed be his glorious name forever. Let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen and amen. ²⁰ This ends the prayers by David, the son of Jesse.

³⁶ His descendants will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me. ³⁷ It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky." Selah.
