¹⁰ And let them be first tried, and then let them serve, if they are without blame.

¹ And in those days, when the disciples had become numerous, the Grecian disciples murmured against the Hebrew, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration to the needy. ² And the twelve legates convoked the whole company of the disciples, and said to them: It is not proper, that we should neglect the word of God, and serve tables.

⁸ who will confirm you unto the end, so that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Messiah.

²² to you, he hath now given peace, by the body of his flesh, and by his death; that he might establish you in his presence, holy, without blemish, and without offence;

² And an elder ought to be such, that no blame can be found in him; and he should be the husband of one wife, with a vigilant mind, and sober and regular in his habits, and affectionate to strangers, and instructive;

⁶ Neither let him be of recent discipleship; lest he be uplifted, and fall into the condemnation of Satan.

¹³ For they who serve well as deacons, procure for themselves a good degree, and much boldness in the faith of Jesus the Messiah.

²² Lay not the hand hastily on any man; and participate not in the sins of others; keep thyself pure.

⁶ him who is blameless, who is the husband of one wife, and hath believing children, who are no revellers, nor ungovernable in sensuality. ⁷ For an elder ought to be blameless, as the steward of God; and not be self-willed, nor irascible, nor excessive in wine, nor with hands swift to strike, nor a lover of base gains.

¹ My beloved, believe not all spirits; but discriminate among spirits, whether they are of God: for many false prophets have gone out into the world.
